i wish i could make out all the coats letters. i see "peace is tough" twice, what else? anyways its a sweet jacket that reminds me and i'm sure its wearer of the clothes The Clash used to wear/make/retrofit in their early years (76 and 77). He looks like as if hes the head of a punk record label or something, he a classy punk; they dont get along with gutter or crust punks for the record.
How strange, I had to look twice at the location too – its so Berlin. I think it is even less about the outfit, but how he carries it. he seems so quiet to be in such a loud ensemble. The black and white makes it.
Your pictures often move me. This one especially. I love the way he is backlit, and the use of perspective with the street frames him so well. This guy looks perfectly great. These boots… amazing.
Good look, good pic. Interesting the coat looks a little oversized, which feels consistent with the DIY / thrift look –> contrast with a modern very fitted look. Fab. coat but the look is a little derivative to me…I mean, the Paul Simonon template needs no messing with & it looks ace, but it's an unsurprising look maybe? Was thinking the DMs were too easy, but then when I started thinking big Nikes or something like that with it I decided that was too obvious with CDG, so maybe it's perfectly judged. Cool guy, looks original Manchester punk.
I love seeing the same people shot by you and other bloggers. There was a detail shot of this guy's jacket by Tommy Ton on style.com and getting the complete picture here – and such a different take on the outfit – is fascinating!
Not sure why so many viewers are calling these Mister a her. For me, clearly a man, and a friggin, dangerously stylish one at that. So nice, it hurts. Well done.
Wow….the composition is stunning, as earlier stated….but there is a lonely indifference to this, the City and backlight seem like another point in time. The fashion perspective seems to promote a modern city persona.A gem! Thanks…..L
