That face, that boyishly tilted brim, the spring in his walk, priceless. Whatever it is you do, when you photograph strangers, you make them feel really comfortable, and it shows in every shot.
I usually dont give unreserved appreciation like this, but these shots were simply amazing. The effortlessness and spring in his step, the boyish smile on his face, when i grow older i want to feel like this guy looks! Truly inspiring and comforting at the same time. It's all going to be OK, you know! ;)
Nah, not feeling this. There is one too many colours. The black/navy tie, with brownish scarf, and different brown coat are clashing. And am I the only one who hates those kinds of collars on shirts? My favourite things are the socks!

This is an indescribable shot of a man who looks like a combination of James Bond and Viggo Mortensen. It certainly says a lot, story through style if you will. Makes me miss living in Milan, even though New York is filled with fashionistas…
Men with a few wrinkles, some grey hair and a great sense of style are so breath-takingly handsome. This man is particularly attractive because he has all that and what appears to be a healthy dose of wit. How charming.
This man is so simply elegant, and so sexy, I could die! Where are these men in America? –

Recently, I had the pleasure of watching Fellini's "8 1/2" after not having seen it for many years, so when I saw this shot I thought, "My God! It's Guido's hat!" Indeed, just as that chapeau was one of the great stylistic elements that Mastroianni employed in the creation of the character of Guido, so does this gentleman know about the major importance of seemingly minor things. Certainly, you are right about the use of gray and brown to create the wonderful color story we see here-so simple and yet so direct in terms of the appeal to the eye. And, as someone else has remarked above, we know that this is a man with a great sense of personal style since this is a gent who knows the power of a good pair of hose.
This man has an incredibly charismatic smile. I love how he looks so relaxed in the suit and brought a bit of whimsy to it with the colorful socks. Part of style is being comfortable in your own skin – this man pulls it off amazingly well.
It´s a masterpiece. His suit, jacket and scarf were in the perfect shade of colour and went wih each other quite well, the purple socks added such a cool approach to life. And his hat´s brim is indeed perfect.
I do agree with everything you wrote plus I would add some appreciation for the shoes. Great style comes together with great quality. These days we look for quality. Moreover, I consider the Gentleman so nostalgic and romantic. Beautiful persona.
Ouaaaah, that guy has such a good style! I love this kind of retro vintage style, I have the impression that he comes from the 30's. My boyfriend has this kind of style. He wears U-NI-TY, Y3, Paul Simth…I love when boys take care of themselves.
I'm a big hat fan. 50 to 60 years ago they were as common as a man wearing socks. Then hats totally disappeared!! Hats are practical, not only fashionable!! They are not pretentious!! Viva la chapeau!!
Hi, I love your blog and check it out as often as I can. I find that the men you shoot are so interesting because you post a variety (young, old, skinny, fat, tall, short etc…) yet they all look amazing. The women look amazing as well but I’m curious why there isn’t the same amount of variety?!
perfection. wish i could dress like that NOW and not wait 20 years. @ s strong: the word "fag" is always violently insulting. i don't know if it's current slang in some euro-capital or other, but as an american, let me tell you – it's always awful and shocking to hear. never clever, never cool.

perfection. wish i could dress like that NOW and not wait 20 years.

definitely did not expect to see superman blue socks, but that made the outfit in my eyes. Very original yet still playful.

This is such a cool look. Effortless and stylish. The Fedora really finishes the look. I can’t imagine this photo without the Fedora.
