February 10, 2010 at 2:10 pm
I *love* seeing men wear florals. LOVE!! Would like to see this in color!
February 10, 2010 at 2:11 pm
I love the use of black and white in this shot.
is his coat floral patterned? i hope so. love the shoes and the mixed patterns!
February 10, 2010 at 2:12 pm
i love this. it's like hip-hop but with real style. is that floral on the jacket? genius
February 10, 2010 at 2:16 pm
LOVE everything about this photograph!!!
February 10, 2010 at 2:17 pm
I love the attitude he is exuding in this photo
Lynn and Horst
more of it please
I'm feeling the mix of patterns and textures (i.e., from shoe laces to flannel to the cushion of the jacket). Awesome.

Interesting seeing some b&w. the boy is very Paris. cool shoes
February 10, 2010 at 2:23 pm
Black & white brings out the richness of the night & makes him more a part of it.
February 10, 2010 at 2:26 pm
Black & white brings out the richness of the night and makes him seem more a part of it.
February 10, 2010 at 2:30 pm
I would love to see that jacket (picture as well) in color!
February 10, 2010 at 2:31 pm
February 10, 2010 at 2:34 pm
objectively, i love the coat and shoes. but i think he ruins the outfit with those ridiculous pants…what is sartorial about them?
February 10, 2010 at 2:37 pm
I am not liking this at all. Sorry
February 10, 2010 at 2:44 pm
I am not a fan of this one.
World of Rachel
It's like Punk meets my linen closet. Good Show :)
Cool night shot!
February 10, 2010 at 2:46 pm
finally some style instead of fashion
February 10, 2010 at 2:47 pm
I love that mix with pattern (and i guess they come of better in black and white, but curious of the colors). His attitude to top the patternmix makes the picture even more fantastic!
February 10, 2010 at 2:50 pm
i love the black and white! great shot.
February 10, 2010 at 2:52 pm
Interesting, you rarely take shots at night.
February 10, 2010 at 2:53 pm
Love the contrast of textures and pattern, you almost forget he is surrounded by concrete. The shape of the midsection articulated by the unbuttoned bottom of the shirt and slightly drop crotch denim is great. Nice proportion all around!
February 10, 2010 at 2:56 pm
Dig those shoes!
February 10, 2010 at 2:57 pm
I adore your men shots!! They are so charismatic. Keep 'Em Comin!!!

again with the shoes and the pants…must be a guy thing? Looks great!
February 10, 2010 at 3:00 pm
This is a nice photo-yes. But am I the only one who is having trouble appreciating the proportions of this outfit? Torso looks so-o-o-o lo-o-ng, and legs so teensy wee. I suppose this is a kind of riff on hip hop, but it's not working for me.
February 10, 2010 at 3:05 pm
With one word: COOL.
Peace and love!
February 10, 2010 at 3:11 pm
Oh wow, I adore the floral coat and sneakers. Very street style and a welcome change! xo
Finally, style with a sense of reality. Urban, relevant, crazy. Whoever you are – I love you.

How beautiful is Paris!!! :)
February 10, 2010 at 3:21 pm
fantastic use of black and white- really captures the emotion of this shot. i am in paris too with my camera too and hope to bump into you!
February 10, 2010 at 3:27 pm
Hey, this shot is very nice, I'm in love with the boots. But where are the girls gone? :o
I love that this picture was taken in black and white as it draws your eye directly to the floral pring. Which leads me to my next comment: a guy is wearing floral print! J'adore.
February 10, 2010 at 3:30 pm
this is fllyyyyyy
though I wish boymen would wear their trousers higher (like a drop crotch pair of jeans could get a similar look without wearing trousers so low that there is a risk of the legs looking comical, perhaps?)
February 10, 2010 at 3:32 pm
All I see is a Parisien Eminem? sorry
john benjamin pritchett
February 10, 2010 at 3:52 pm
Not a fan of the whole urban look and attitude. But love the quality of the black and white photo!johnbenjaminpritchett.blogspot.com
Really great great picture! i love the light and the shades in it! Curious subject, nice shoes!!!
February 10, 2010 at 4:04 pm
i love that you posted (or even took) a more urban hipster look… or whatever one would call this. it's different that your usual, to say the least. makes me appreciate your eye for steez (style and ease).
This picture evokes that foreign movie "La Haine" with a buzz-cut Vincent Cassell–classic eighties punk-rap chic with a French twist. Rugged devil-may-care attitude. Nice shot!

February 10, 2010 at 4:06 pm
Not a fan of those shoes, or the pants, but I guess this is the look he was aiming for. Excellent photography btw…
February 10, 2010 at 4:17 pm
I love the picture and his jacket. His pants are very interesting also.
February 10, 2010 at 4:28 pm
Great picture-this looks like it could've been taken here in Orange County, Ca (same style here).
Love how you captured the typical teenage expression, "Alright, take my picture already."
February 10, 2010 at 4:37 pm
You can see almost the same look at most USA college campuses. After a while, it isn't eye-catching.
February 10, 2010 at 4:48 pm
nice b&w shot !here in Paris, we call that kind of jacket " housse de couette"xoxo
February 10, 2010 at 4:52 pm
Great tonal quality!!!!!!!
February 10, 2010 at 4:56 pm
black and white photos … very nice! interesting outfit
February 10, 2010 at 4:59 pm
This is interesting because because it is different. At first look it's normal "youth" wear, which in itself is interesting enough to see on the sartorialist. Then you see the floral pattern and the shoes and it all adds up a really cool picture.
Wow, urban casual men's jacket in foral? interesting. It caught my attention. I like it.
cochino_cheap and chic
February 10, 2010 at 5:02 pm
I love his style! and the jacket it's perfect!
February 10, 2010 at 5:04 pm
hip-hop for the well-to-do Parisian? no thanks.
February 10, 2010 at 5:12 pm
love the jacket
February 10, 2010 at 5:13 pm
February 10, 2010 at 5:21 pm
Looks like a gang banger frenchified. Horrible
February 10, 2010 at 5:22 pm
The quality of the picture and the photograph itself is beautiful but I am not big on the style. I feel I see this "look" everyday on the Vancouver streets, but thats just my opinion.
February 10, 2010 at 5:29 pm
Loving the total contrast between the badass rapper-street-boy silhouette and the floral print. Haha, this made me smile.
February 10, 2010 at 5:42 pm
Love the shot. Paris has a great style for Hip Hop, but not really liking the floral on the jacket. It's too conflicting.
February 10, 2010 at 5:56 pm
the black and white brings out his style
February 10, 2010 at 6:12 pm
I agree with ML. He certainly has the 'attitude' to pull of this look. Cool dude!
February 10, 2010 at 6:14 pm
Il est beau et j'aime son style.
February 10, 2010 at 6:17 pm
Love that you're posting some true cool street style … MORE OF THIS! It's why we fell in love in the first place.
That floral coat is immense. I almost feel like it's been turned inside out and he's wearing it lining side out. So great.
As for the calls for more womens shots, meh! I prefer mens fashion and your take on it anyway.
All Things Considered
February 10, 2010 at 6:20 pm
I love the pants!
February 10, 2010 at 6:32 pm
loving how street this is with juxtaposition of masculine/feminine in such an overt way. Florals, workman boots, plaid? delicous.
Anyone know what denim he is wearing? really dig it.
Amazing shot. Straight from 1984 kinda…
February 10, 2010 at 6:34 pm
a lot of men lately!! like it! :) haha
February 10, 2010 at 6:49 pm
It's difficult to look cool or tough wearing a quilted jacket made from my grandmother's curtains…
February 10, 2010 at 6:52 pm
On a different note, I love the style of this picture. It looks like one of the really early night photography pictures.
February 10, 2010 at 6:58 pm
Great play with pattern and proportion. Overall appears effortless, exuding masculinity and confidence. Can not get over how much adoration I have for those boots, and appreciate that the photo is in B&W.
February 10, 2010 at 7:10 pm
the boots are opening ceremony x timberland for those interested. i think they might even be on sale now.
February 10, 2010 at 7:24 pm
rapper street boy? lol wtf
February 10, 2010 at 7:51 pm
So cool and sexy. Love it when a guy is confident enough to take risks like this. And what a hot guy he is!
February 10, 2010 at 8:00 pm
The jacket is insane! He emits a strong masculinity while wrapped in a floral pattern. Seemingly easy and unpretentious, and a bit tongue in cheek. Love it!
February 10, 2010 at 8:23 pm
February 10, 2010 at 8:59 pm
that is a beautiful photo
February 10, 2010 at 9:41 pm
I love how he creatively blends his floral overcoat with his plaid button-up underneath. It seems like a complete misfit, but with his confidence, he can definitely pull it off!
February 10, 2010 at 10:16 pm
A skin head who wears florals?I'm confused.
February 10, 2010 at 10:22 pm
I would give a lot for a floral winter jacket…
I would give a lot for a floral winter jacket…I love the contrast here.
February 10, 2010 at 10:43 pm
I dig his floral patterned jacket. He pulls it off nicely too.
February 10, 2010 at 11:26 pm
Around the bend we go. Love him, youth at its best. I love to see a young person, male or female, "getting their look on". What fun! He is very serious. Great photograph.
February 10, 2010 at 11:59 pm
my-oh-my he has very large feeti love the floral over the plaid
February 11, 2010 at 2:02 am
Great shot! What details! Would be a completely different outfit without the jacket–love how a single item can change an entire look.
February 11, 2010 at 3:29 am
U, a fresh face and stile, I like that!
February 11, 2010 at 6:12 am
I love this boy! everything about him is fabulous, and sexy
February 11, 2010 at 6:44 am
OMG! The hilarious disproportion of the body caused by those brilliantly ridiculous pants and the voluminous jacket–i maintain it's body art!
February 11, 2010 at 6:49 am

Its Max, he always looks good!

February 11, 2010 at 7:58 am
Interesting layering: checks with florals. Like the hi-cut shoes!
February 11, 2010 at 8:46 am
Photo ravissante en noir et blanc, mais le garcon lui-meme n'a rien d'extraordinaire. Cool, neanmoins….

February 11, 2010 at 9:43 am
I love this picture… it's gorgeous!!!! Everything he is wearing.. it's perfect!!!
February 11, 2010 at 10:16 am
The more I look at this photograph, the more I love it.Great contrast between light and dark and the various patterns in the pieces this young man has put together to make his outfit so incredible. I love his semi-tough posturing, but still there is a sweetness and vulnerability that belongs only to youth.
February 11, 2010 at 11:08 am
j'adore cette photo!
February 11, 2010 at 11:19 am
Its crazy those boots are the Opening Ceremony X Timberlands, I checked them out of the website and they dont NEARLY look as interesting. Thats a sign of true style, being able to wear an item and perfectly bringing out its potential (even more than the ads do!!!) Love this pic!

February 11, 2010 at 7:04 pm
Absolutely astonishing photo. I love that floral jacket. Really shows a man's feminine side. Also love how the photo was noir et blanc. Very creative!

February 12, 2010 at 2:32 pm
Anyone know anything about the jacket?
The closest I can find is this one from GrnAppleTree:
Seems a different cut though?
February 12, 2010 at 6:46 pm
his confidence and slight arrogance that comes across just makes this picture so much better
