    This makes me miss Italy and, more importantly, my grandfather.

    When I was preparing to move to Florence, many years ago, my Southern Italian grandfather took me aside. “Northern Italians are different. Tuscans speak properly. When you move, I don’t want to hear any “garage”; you have to learn to say “autorimessa”!”.
