It’s a fascinating shot! She is creating so many textures surfaces with the shapes her body folds in to.
July 3, 2014 at 9:27 am
Nice shoot! She’s so stylish!!
What a gorgeous shot!
July 3, 2014 at 9:37 am

July 3, 2014 at 9:41 am
I love that her tats look like they’re coordinated with the print of her dress/headband. Beautiful shot!

Looks like a little suitcase of magic…how intriuging…
July 4, 2014 at 10:42 am
This was what I thought, as well…Amelie (:
July 3, 2014 at 10:14 am
Beautiful shot. Her tattoo and dress blend together so well.
July 3, 2014 at 10:44 am
I love her attitude in this photo! http://www.thepaarblog.com/
Artist and intriguing suitcase,very nice.
July 3, 2014 at 10:54 am
Great style. She appears to be an artist selling pictures using her suitcase as a display table.

July 3, 2014 at 11:25 am
She is a piece of Art all by herself. Again, the paint brush to hold her hair.
July 3, 2014 at 11:29 am
Oh my god! This is amazing shot!!

such a cool picture
July 3, 2014 at 12:05 pm
Cool photo! She is truly stylish!
July 3, 2014 at 12:35 pm
Wow! This is incredible! Whatever she’s selling or doing, I’m buying it! :)
July 3, 2014 at 1:27 pm
Amazing attention to detail. I like her suitcase as a little world of art. I think she is selling postcards/paintings, but I can’t be sure. The richness of the tattoo against the skirt is wonderful, as is the dynamism of her pose.
July 3, 2014 at 1:41 pm
That is really sooo nice photo. Wow.

July 3, 2014 at 1:45 pm
Such a great pose..I couldn’t tell whether her tattoo was the sleeve of her dress!
July 3, 2014 at 2:12 pm
and model and shot!!! and suitcase!!
July 3, 2014 at 2:14 pm
For me, her tattoo is the thing that stands out the most in this picture. I really love shots of tattooed people on this blog, men and women alike, because I think they possess such a mix of sophistication and utter coolness that draws me, and I assume a lot of other people, in the most. Keep it up! :)
Love the other little details as well, like the paintbrush and the headscarf.
July 3, 2014 at 2:42 pm
Just amazing picture.
I love your work so much!
If you would ever visit Estonia, then I can help you to find some amazing places to take pictures.

Beautiful shot- love everything about it! Her pose, the print on her dress, the tattoos her makeshift art stand. Such an interesting character!
July 3, 2014 at 4:09 pm
She has a great style and her personality really projects through your photos.
July 3, 2014 at 4:18 pm
I lost the moment of the world when I saw her
July 3, 2014 at 4:20 pm
July 3, 2014 at 4:35 pm
Totally drawn into her concentration…her focus on the assemblage in a suitcase is palpable.
And being that she’s a component of a fine photograph, the art quotient is double-downed.

July 7, 2014 at 3:12 pm
Well-said, sir! :)
July 3, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Am I the only one to notice that we saw her before? Here: http://www.thesartorialist.com/photos/on-the-street-young-painter-in-brera-milan/
The paint brushes immediately hit me, then the way she looks upside, then the tattoo and the perfect skin.
July 3, 2014 at 5:03 pm
Same girl who was on here a couple of weeks ago…I don’t mind seeing more of her, though :)
July 3, 2014 at 5:13 pm
Her earrings are fantastic!
July 3, 2014 at 5:29 pm
Love this shot.
July 3, 2014 at 5:40 pm
Her pose is really fashionable *_*
July 3, 2014 at 6:24 pm
She is gorgeous! She stands as a work of art in color, composition, confidence, sophistication, etc. I love everything about this shot.
July 3, 2014 at 6:40 pm
Everything about the shot is amazing!!!

July 3, 2014 at 7:44 pm
Is it just me, or does this woman give off an Amy Winehouse vibe?
July 3, 2014 at 8:04 pm
This is the same artist that you photographed before, with the red flower in her hair, no? I recognize the paintbrush in her hair and the blue in her box from the blue in her book from the earlier photo. She is a dangerous combination of badass beautiful cool.
July 3, 2014 at 9:04 pm
I love that pose, she’s absolutely gorgeous the ropey sandals and her black painted toes are such a nice contrast to her refined tattoo, makeup and headband (and those earrings!) Swoon.
July 3, 2014 at 9:05 pm
love the ACAB in the background
July 3, 2014 at 9:23 pm
love this — she’s in an alternate universe
July 3, 2014 at 9:36 pm
The shot is really great, however I do not care for tattoos particularly on the back of the neck, reminds me of prison gang members.
July 3, 2014 at 10:17 pm
I saw the previous photo of her. I can’t decide between impressions. One the one hand, she could be a true artist with an individual sense of style (though, please enough with the brushes in the hair), on the other hand, she could be an Italian fauxhemian/trustafarian bankrolled by wealthy parents, not unlike the insufferable hipsters here NYC. Either way, thought provoking. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a diehard Sartorialist fan (it’s my homepage), but also a NYer and not one to fawn over every post. And please, can we find more apt praise than “amazing”? Are fashion fans really so linguistically lazy?
July 9, 2014 at 10:16 am
Good comment! Thanks.

Fashion-forward free spirit gypsy!
What a memorable shot!
July 4, 2014 at 12:45 am
Great shot! She appears to have so many limbs! Like a hindu goddess. Or a spider…
July 4, 2014 at 12:58 am
So bohemian chic. Her exoticism, colour palette, pose, what she’s doing. Love!
July 4, 2014 at 1:53 am
Hey that’s the same woman from this posting:
she is very striking!!
July 4, 2014 at 2:33 am
awesome shot and pose

July 4, 2014 at 3:17 am
very very amazing wallpaper i ever seen (y)
July 4, 2014 at 3:27 am
Thats the lady from the coffee shop with the brushes in her hair.
Those paintings all look quite a bit like her…. painting selfies…. hopefully she is offering to paint portraits.
July 4, 2014 at 3:38 am
Very gipsy! she seems disinterested in fashion and in looking sophisticated, but actually she is paying big attention to details: the pattern of the skirt and of the headscarf, which is the same, the gipsy but very up-do-date earrings, the tatoo and the perfect make up.
July 4, 2014 at 3:47 am

July 4, 2014 at 5:21 am
She looks like out of a painting from Vermeer :)
July 4, 2014 at 5:25 am
Scott, is it a staged photo? Coz if not, you’re a real magician, who knows how to anticipante and capture an instant of grace. Bravo! And there’s always something special with italians you shot : more than stylish they are graceful, so beautiful… I can feel la dolce vita !
July 4, 2014 at 5:52 am
Doing music!!?? So nice!!
MES VOYAGES A PARIS
July 4, 2014 at 6:01 am
Gorgeous coordination, a less masterful person would make that print look gawdy. The uniform darkness of her hair, nails, sandals and her olive skin tames the wild pattern well.
July 4, 2014 at 6:50 am
We saw her before! The young painter, also with the paint brushes in her hair and a halter. And a skin as stunning as in this pic.
July 4, 2014 at 6:51 am
We saw her before! Also with paint brushes in her hair and a beautiful skin. And clothing so fitting to her, like she knows herself and isn’t afraid to show she feels well.
July 4, 2014 at 7:11 am
she must be an artist! great outfit!
July 4, 2014 at 7:29 am
I absolutely adore this photo. The picture in her suitcase could almost be a portrait of herself in that very moment! Stunning.
July 4, 2014 at 8:11 am
Really fascinating shot. I love her look – but with that amazing suitcase?! Did you get to see what was in it? It almost looks like a kind of exhibit she’s arranging.
July 4, 2014 at 8:41 am
For me too, it’s her tattoo that stands out the most, it’s horrible.
July 4, 2014 at 8:45 am
Beautiful young woman and lovely composition. Isn’t it the same young artist from the cafe on June 12? The brushes holding her hair, tatoo and skin tones would suggest so.
July 4, 2014 at 9:27 am
She is so charming ! And she puts her dreams in the street (sorry for the english) maybe i could say better = she is not afraid to open her heart dream and show it ! This suitcase is so intimate, secret dreams …
July 4, 2014 at 9:28 am
If you throw salt water on her, will she turn into a mermaid?? :-)
July 4, 2014 at 9:32 am
If I were a guy, I would be in love with that girl.
July 4, 2014 at 9:50 am
Great pic – and great style!

congrats :) i love your job!
July 4, 2014 at 11:56 am
Wow. Great shot, and a gorgeous woman. I have a thing for sleeve tattoos. This one is great, and it totally fits her artist vibe.
July 4, 2014 at 12:29 pm
Wonderful capture. It’s like she’s just unfurled from the case herself, that magic case !
July 4, 2014 at 12:40 pm
Paintings are really amazing. Love the headband she wears, it’s like gypsy style.

the art…. what about the art…. the tiny strings and blue marble like dancing circles….

It’s a woman like this that makes me want to tattoo my entire body. Nice catch!

Intriguing hint at E.M. Escher. As we look deeper into the artist’s box we can see her self-portrait replicating a portion of the image we see in the photo. Beautiful composition.
July 4, 2014 at 8:15 pm
I remember the last shot you had of this girl. She is a real beauty. Soft, natural and not at all “posy”. No wonder you like photographing her.

I love this pic. She is so beautiful.
July 5, 2014 at 6:15 pm
Beautiful; She looks like a gypsy odalisque with her twisted form and the earrings, her shoes and tattoo and the pattern of her dress and head-band makes it a perfect portrait. Very Beautiful
July 5, 2014 at 9:25 pm
AAhhhh it’s the girl again!! The one with the diamond tattoo on her back! It was love at first shot for me, but somehow this picture is even more intriguing than the first picture you took of her.
July 6, 2014 at 8:09 am
Note that one of the watercolors in her suitcase depicts the girl herself with her tattoo – like one of those endless-pictures. Reminds me of the Land-O’-Lakes Indian maiden.
July 6, 2014 at 2:56 pm
The pictures all look like her too!
July 7, 2014 at 12:08 am
This is a natural beauty. Even the way she crosses her legs while sitting on a store front entrance on the ground, so elegant. She is a story and so glad you found her and shared! More design inspiration. Thank
