For some reason I just love when guys roll up their sleeves. :] // itsCarmen.com ☼

Could it be that it gives the impression of a man working intensely, as well as revealing attractive arms? I think it’s the case for me!
This uomo has featured a few times – or more? – on The Sartorialist and this fitted vest and shirt look seems to be his look. Mm-mmm.
July 1, 2014 at 5:07 pm
And wear white jeans, Carmen
July 1, 2014 at 6:06 pm
Wow, beautiful and impressive presence this man has. What a stature and so well suited are his clothes to his form.

Cool Never Fades
July 1, 2014 at 7:02 pm
You have to love the stark contrast between this photo and the one from Monday June 30 – On the Street…..After Junya Watanabe, Paris
It’s like looking at Steve McQueen and Peewee Herman
July 3, 2014 at 11:47 am
I agree with Cool Never Fades, wholeheartedly.
July 1, 2014 at 8:29 pm
he reminds me of Daniel Day Lewis’ character in the movie There Will Be Blood. something rather dark and brooding… but obviously a very handsome man
July 8, 2014 at 8:57 am
Yes, a fanciable version. Very interesting, strong sexy man. Also agree about the sleeves rolled up, love his arms.
July 1, 2014 at 8:32 pm
strong and handsome…love his white jeans.
July 1, 2014 at 11:21 pm
Vest and shirt, great combination. Like the belt hang.
July 2, 2014 at 1:58 am
I doubt very much that this is anyway a care free ensemble (not that it has been otherwise suggested). The fit, tone, colour, texture and proportion of each item is so individually perfect and are so perfectly coordinated together as part of this overall outfit that the result has to be one of much consideration and preplanning. I simply love it and aspire to find clothes that allow me to dress in such away.
July 2, 2014 at 12:45 pm
This guy buys his clothes to fit and he knows what colors and styles he looks good in; he conducts his grooming a certain way–some are not so adept at that–then Voila!
I don’t know if that is preplanning if not more so finding one’s look and sticking to it (that is carefree–put it on and forget about it).
We all strive to do that to some extent if we take care with how we look.
July 3, 2014 at 1:32 am
I certainly agree that he knows what works for him (as I believe I do too!) and one can wear outfits in a care-free manner once this has been determined, however I personally find that ideal fit and collective harmony of clothing pieces is not an effortless pursuit even if the result is. I rarely find ideal RTW items and I have wasted an inordinate sum of money on such only to have them altered in the vague hope that that it would rectify an ill-fit; which it has not. Unless one is of ‘standard’ dimensions, bespoke or good MTM is the only way ideal fit can be achieved. Piecing it all together of course requires good taste.

There is an effortlessness about it (even if as DrNik mentions it has been long planned out). A very casual chic look – that vest just completes it.
July 2, 2014 at 8:40 am
Great ensemble. Love the image.
July 2, 2014 at 9:10 am
Great style! I love the vest and the white pants!
July 2, 2014 at 9:23 am
I just LOVE the Milan style! What a great outfit!
July 2, 2014 at 10:11 am
I wish more men in my life would wear vests! This is proof positive that it’s a great look!
July 2, 2014 at 10:20 am
love these fabrics and textures!
July 2, 2014 at 11:24 am
Great look, great pic. Found out recently that the reason it’s considered de rigeur to leave the bottom button undone on a waistcoat is down to the friends of an English prince. He was a tad on the large side and couldn’t manage to fasten the bottom button up due to his extended girth. To make him feel better his mates left their’s undone too. Being an Englishman myself, with no overwhelming love of royalty, I’ve taken to always fastening the bottom button since I read the story. The prince in question was, I think, one of the Edwards from the beginning of the twentieth century.

I remember this gentleman from last year’s summer where he was wearing a similar attire, in a wonderful palette of indigo. He obviously has his colours sorted. Would love to see more of him (and his clothes !).
July 2, 2014 at 1:53 pm
Rugged elegance comes to my mind!
July 2, 2014 at 3:07 pm
Nice! I think we’ve seen him before, no? His vest fits perfectly, and he has perfect grooming.

Love the look, love him !!
July 2, 2014 at 6:45 pm
It looks effortless to me. Every guy has a blue shirt, white pants, a black belt, and a watch. Add a blue vest (which not every guy will have, and which is the EXTRA in this outfit) – and your outfit is done. He’s not even wearing jewelry. This guy is simplicity personified. He knows his colors, and what looks good together, and is well-groomed. That’s why he looks elegantly casual. Would be curious to know what type of shoes he is wearing.
July 2, 2014 at 11:29 pm
I don’t particularly like the vest or the white jeans and I don’t like them together. He has nice forearms but I think he needs to take care of his skin.
July 18, 2014 at 11:38 pm
Wow, when it gets to the point when we’re critiquing someone’s skin I think it’s time not to post a comment.
July 3, 2014 at 3:23 am
Quite splendid; white and navy always work well together. Nice to see a gentleman(I suspect close to my own age) who’s looked after his skin by living in it.
As for the hair; this image is going with me to my barber.

-sigh. I’m sure he’s a nice person but I’m getting tired of this Tidy Everything-is-small-and-tight-fitting Gentlemanly look that’s so prevalent on this blog. There are other dudes out there, let’s see ‘em!

Gorgeous! And look; His pants don’t sag!!!!
August 27, 2014 at 12:11 pm
Nice! What a vision – he is the correct weight, his body isn’t distorted by too much muscle, and he is dressed so very well. He’s about the most attractive man I’ve seen in a long time.

I think he is designing Armani jeans, Absolutely stunning! If I am not totally wrong he is Domenico Forte. Looking at him makes my day!

I´m having a hard time trying to convince my husband that he should leave the bottom button of his vest undone, but I´m sure I´m right when I look at his gorgeous man!
