Hm; plain black trousers-but a skirt worn over it. Clean cut jacket-but green with pokadots. Strong, determined hands-holding a nude clutch and adorned with delicate gold jewlery. Masculine face and haircut-but a soft, curved mouth and chin.
You can’t quite tell whether this is a man or a woman, but frankly-it doesn’t matter-the photo and the outfit are intriguing and cool… ;)

I guess if women can dress like men, then men can dress like women.
I would say this is gutsy or it appeals to cross dressers or something

Uhm, men wore skirts/gowns in through the 17th or 18th century, pants are a modern device.

I don’t get it – I would think a man could pull off the wearing of a skirt in summer in order to stay cool… but this young man wears leggings.

In the spirit of American baseball – a swing… and a miss!

      Yeah, if I were 20 years younger…

This is someone whose aim is style. Not manliness, not womanliness, just style. To me that’s so beautiful – so sharp.

Nice androgyny, love it. And gorgeous sandals!

  18. Jeremy

    June 24, 2014 at 9:51 pm

I guess he would be what I call a trend hoarder: ticking off all the boxes in the latest trends (sandals! skirt/berms over tights! clutch! jacket-as-cape (again)!) but not quite almagating them into an individual style. Probably more stylist-driven than style-driven.

interesting look, but the proportions of his body and the angle at which you caught the action is freaking me out a little – it looks like his torso and head are from different bodies! i think the jacket may be creating that optical illusion, but it’s trippy. it’s like a mannequin hand coming out of the jacket!

    June 24, 2014 at 10:42 pm

You could photo shop a woman’s head and the outfit would totally work. Yet he doesn’t quite look like he’s in drag, either.

I love a bold style on someone who just goes for it like this guy.

  22. Richard Young

    June 24, 2014 at 10:57 pm

First good photo as always. For me the essential outfit here would consist of the dark glasses, shirt, pants and sandals. Stop there and he looks cool. When the bag-skirt-bracelets and jacket are added, it becomes too much. Maybe one or two of the above would work, but with all of them, it’s just overkill.

    • Dirron

      June 25, 2014 at 6:36 am

I agree with most of this comment, and totally agree with what ‘dotPolk’ above said. There’s no mistaking that this guy has style. The skirt-over-pant and choice of sandal/jewelry/clutch are perfect (well done). His overall look is more towards the strong end on the spectrum, but it’s overworked. The skirt is statement enough, he doesn’t need the polk-a-dot jacket, which with another outfit would work perfect – I’m not against it. It’s a question of getting the balance right between ‘looking good’ and ‘look at me’, and he hasn’t quite nailed it in that regard…

      • Martine

        June 29, 2014 at 4:16 am

Agree that it would be better with plain jacket, or no jacket. Good eye. I still like it.

    • Dirron

      June 25, 2014 at 7:07 am

Me again. Had his jacket been plain green without the dots, he would have nailed it in my opinion…

    • me

      June 25, 2014 at 1:38 pm

I agree with the jacket being too much. I love the pants, skirt, sandals and plain shirt. I think no jacket or a plainer jacket would look amazing!

Gorgeous outfit, great looking guy. Just can’t get my head around the two put together. Reminds me of one of those children’s books where you can interchange the top and bottom halves to make funny pictures. Sorry to be so bourgeois/boring. Note to self “must try harder”!

I think this fall into a divider..

One outfit should have included jacket, haircut, glasses, bangle and clutch
one outfit he should have worn skirt trousers and leggings and the T shirt and his sandals..

put it all together ..you look like a mess

I love everything about this outfit. He manages to make it look like all of it is meant to ‘be’. Not a guy wearing a skirt. It is like, guys have always worn skirts. Awesome.
