Exposed socks look bad enough on guys, but on girls they simply look revolting.

Love her edgy and casual style! Skirt is gorgeous!

Another well styled young woman. Great combination of textures, colors and shapes. I love that “cognac” skirt with the dark blue sweater.
May 6, 2014 at 4:00 pm
Agreed…her hair, too, has that “cognac” smokiness.

I love the socks!! She has style! Love this shoot!

she looks so cool! If I wore that I would look like a short frumpy thing

Relaxed and lovely. Each element looks like quality but is refreshingly unassuming. This woman has youth and beauty but I think her look could be adopted my a broad spectrum of ages.

Be careful what you wish for… context is everything. The same saggy socks, a shapeless skirt, and a beanie on an unfortunate aged homeless person may invite different responses.
May 7, 2014 at 7:58 pm
Absolutely! This outfit only looks cute and trendy because a very beautiful young girl is wearing it. Put the same outfit on the (lovely) older lady beside her, and perception is completely changed.

Cute pixie lost in Broadway! Her neighbour looks like an understated appealing real person!

Love the loafers and socks. This is subtle style.

Just amazing coat!

love the socks and shoes!

Without the pointy hat the whole look changes. It’s all about the hat. The hat adds height and irreverence to the look. No other hat would work.

My German grandmother wore skirts in this length with long, slouchy cardigans, ankle socks and little wedge slippers. It looked adorable on her, and it looks adorable on this woman. Amazing how something I saw throughout my younger years can appear so trendy in the modern day. Love it :-)

Those penny loafers really take me back in time — if only I’d known to wear them thus back in the day. I love the color combination and that she’s dressed beautifully and in comfort for this week’s cool weather.

Love her look! The socks and loafers are amazing!

The older woman behind her offers an interesting play on colour, texture and pattern with her grey hair, grey cardigan and patterned top underneath. The haphazard way the cardigan is slung over her shoulders is so cute!
another old lady

I’m glad somebody finally took positive notice of the other woman in this picture. Seems to me the two black leather bags, one with brass colored metal, the other with gray metal, also play a role in the framing and color progression of this shot.

I love that she has Old Lady syndrome! http://madelienerose.com/

I really just rolled out of bed and put on my most comfortable clothes that day. Didn’t even curl my hair…but thanks guys!
May 7, 2014 at 12:15 pm
I’ve seen guys who are “roll out of bed strong” – they don’t even have to work out every day at the gym. It must be nice to be “roll outta bed beautiful”!

Totally beside the point. But I love the way you do your makeup!

Haha… I see what you did there. You can put away the claws now.

High waist skirt is everything. Even better with knitwear.

I love how she mixed a midi skirt and chunky sweater! Such a cute look for winter and one that we’ll see plenty of in the months to come! :)

Totally the kind of look I love ! Everything is so cool : the beanie, the velvet culottes and the mocassins paired with the socks … She rocked it !
