Wondering about the significance of all of the women wearing leg coverings or pants under their skirts? Is it the cold season there? Or is this a standard way of dressing there year round?

El pantalon debajo de la falda..es una forma o costumbre de vestir que tienen las mujeres,, en algunos pueblos andinos del Peru..

Cuzco is ( 3,249-4,200m) altitude, is cold !! That’s also the reason of the “andino cheeks”.

It’s near to Andes mountains zone, its always cold, it’s also a very high place, so that’s why they where those pants

i’m really wondering why u take these pic of children…..

street photography is full of it. August Sander, Helen Levitt, Cartier-Bresson, Bruce Davidson, Steve McCurry to name a few great photographers off the top of my head that have many great images of children.

i understand ….but these children seem caught off guard…like the boy and girl on the road..

no they don’t!
look at her posture, totally relaxed.
I think you have issues that you’re projecting onto the images and want somewhere to vent them.

Scott Schuman began The Sartorialist with the idea of creating a two-way dialogue about the world of fashion and its relationship to daily life.
Not much “dialogue” possible when this is the response to a reader. . .

That was a really weird (and rude?) question! Of course street photography is full of kids, and kids have style, too. I am actually offended by this question, I don’t know if it implies some “impurity” on photographer’s part or does the reader find kids too dull for his liking, either way I’m appaled.
I love your work and photos of kids, old people, everything.

Why not CBC? What are you getting at? The site shows the way people dress at all stages of life – from childhood to old age. There’s something quite unpleasant about your comment.

That doesn’t answer the question.

Hi- I have never seen any of Scott’s photos of children which do not represent the greatest professionalism. His eye for the beauty and innocence that children inherently have is apparent in how he captures them in their native surroundings with grace and artistry.
