Great shot! Also it’s a bit off the point, but loving the skirt in the window.

I always wonder if you take some shots before asking. Though I assumed that you did ask afterwards. I love these little note about your process.

Forget about an imaginary story! I must be wrong, but I’m imagining I’m not seeing a head on this person! Just like the mannequins in the window.

Yes. Me too. Its intense. The way it looks is the hat sits on nothing. Like one of the headless manikins came to life and is looking in on her headless friends. How is that for a story? or should we be saving it for halloween?

Me too! I zoomed in and looked bu still nothing!

Agreed…women wearing a men’s-style dress shoe are, for some reason, oddly appealing to me. Much more so than the four-in-hand tie look popularized in the 40′s movies, then in Annie Hall, and thereafter in the androgneous millenium. The oxford or brogue is so wonderfully not quirky, but confident.
Scarves of this genre are always appealing. I wonder if she has it tied gypsy-style or in a headband?

so so good!

Great photo. I love pictures where the subjects face is a bit obscured. It is always dramatic.

I saw this shot on instagram and loved it. Those rich caramel colours, particularly in the brogues are so masculine, but the silhouette and details are so feminine.

I’m having weird trick of the eye thing going on…I can’t see the back/side of the person’s head, it just looks like a gap between their hand and the scarf, through which we see the shop window. It’s freaking me out!

I love the idea of keeping a bit of mystery by taking shots from behind. I look forward of seeing more of these on the blog!

Maybe there could even be a tag for these kind of shots?

I’d like to see how the scarf/hat combination looks like from the front.

It almost looks like the subject’s face isn’t there. See that? Strange and beautiful optical illusion.

She actually looks like a mannequin, Would be an awesome window display, to have a a fully dressed mannequin outside gazing into the store window.

The subject has no face! Where is her face? This is spooky. Im happy other people noticed this too!
