Greed and Disgust
March 21, 2014 at 9:41 am
Those look like football socks — interesting look with sandals.
March 21, 2014 at 12:46 pm
i don’t reject the idea but this particular girl didn’t manage to pull it off :)
March 21, 2014 at 9:00 pm
I do not understand why people dislike socks and sandals. I don’t mind but don’t judge until you see the full outfit. This look can still be nice think World Cup summer fever, I guess.. I’m not sure either actually…
March 23, 2014 at 11:39 pm
Um, probably because that’s not appropriate attire going out – particularly gym socks with pool sandals. “House chores” chic – no.
March 25, 2014 at 7:18 am
I agree with you Andreea. It could be nice but here it is not.
March 21, 2014 at 9:47 am
No, I really don’t like it: it’s the opposite of fashion.
It’s anti-sex, too… my gosh

interesting max and match!
the Adidas socks <3
March 21, 2014 at 10:26 am
No! It’s too much! I think it could be funny, but not stylish at all!
March 21, 2014 at 10:38 am
…..A la sortie de la piscine Molitor ?
March 21, 2014 at 10:44 am
I love that. I love all the athletic ugly/cool details these days. I love Birkenstock type shoes. Its so different then what we have now, and so pragmatic. It takes a bit of getting used to, so I am sure people will be disturbed by it. After all, its not the typical dainty flat, or high heel we are all used to. But I really look forward to a more interesting flow of looks with effective shoes that are anything but dainty.

Her left knee is much admired among connoisseurs.
March 21, 2014 at 10:57 am
Wow, I was dragged to the computer by my sis to look at this. OK. Its got a normcore vibe to it. I like what I see here. Very creative. Love to see the rest. Its like partial normcore.
March 22, 2014 at 7:28 am
Oh no. Not the n- word! HAHAHA
March 21, 2014 at 11:09 am
Interesting. Well, yes, that’s as good as it gets…
March 21, 2014 at 11:33 am
For the young, hip and cool. For me, late thirties – too granny.
March 21, 2014 at 11:37 am
Honestly, is that fashion or just bad taste plain and simple?
March 21, 2014 at 3:45 pm
Yes, I think it is!
March 26, 2014 at 6:04 pm
In Italy we say: la seconda (the second)
March 21, 2014 at 11:45 am
Wish I could see this whole look!
March 21, 2014 at 11:56 am
Ladies, please don’t follow cliched tourists over this cliff! There’s no sex here!
March 21, 2014 at 12:01 pm
This reminds of 90′s West coast style of Birkenstocks and socks.
March 21, 2014 at 12:04 pm
Don’t know about them socks. Maybe shorter to accentuate the leg more.
March 21, 2014 at 12:06 pm
Socks and sandals are the biggest fashion faux pas ever. I can’t believe I’m seeing it on this site, and that some are even calling it “interesting.”
March 21, 2014 at 12:10 pm
I find these socks so chic!
March 21, 2014 at 12:19 pm
March 21, 2014 at 12:38 pm
Just because you see it worn in Paris doesn’t mean it’s fashionable.
March 22, 2014 at 7:23 am
Cute nickname. True, but just because its not glamorous doesn’t mean its not good.

March 21, 2014 at 12:40 pm
@Rosem – I can confirm, that this ain’t hip and cool ! ^^ Think this is as close to individual style as it gets.
March 21, 2014 at 2:10 pm
No, no, no. Really one of the ugliest things you have ever photographed. No offense to you.
IS THIS IT? models review
March 21, 2014 at 2:29 pm
I… I dunno…..
March 21, 2014 at 3:11 pm
first thought was, poor thing both her legs are in casts :-s
March 21, 2014 at 3:28 pm
Okay, I guess it’s supposed to be an ironic version of the “middle aged white man at the beach” or something of that kind… But why, why, why would I want to wear my grandpa’s vacation outfit? Well, maybe I’m not hipster enough for that.
I would probably wear the socks with sneakers and shorts though…
March 21, 2014 at 3:47 pm
Love her sandals! x
March 21, 2014 at 4:18 pm
oh no! just say NO to nursing home sandals and bandage stockings. please!

There is a big joke in Australia that socks and sandals are our winter foot wear. Though I don’t know anyone brave enough to actually do it.
March 21, 2014 at 5:36 pm
Love it! Its one of those looks only a younger cute woman could pull off. If I did this, I would look demented.
March 21, 2014 at 6:49 pm
No Way! No Way! No Way!
I’ve been seeing this trend growing and I’m very (VERY) surprised…
Is it playing Fashion or fashion victim?
March 21, 2014 at 7:50 pm
An absolute and firm “No.” Actually, Scott, I think it was quite nice of you not to show the person behind this choice.
March 21, 2014 at 7:54 pm
Everybody is so diplomatic. I HATE this look beyond comprehension.
And I’m born and raised in Vancouver!!!!!!!
March 21, 2014 at 9:57 pm
I hate that trend/
March 22, 2014 at 12:21 am
Lucky your post’s title had Paris in it otherwise I would have thought it was ironic! Now I just think how decadent Parisians must be to find this edgy! Normcore huh! It reminds me of the French character in one of Nancy Mitford’s books who tells her English friends she’s discovered the most chic London store full of marvellous things and they’re all wondering what they’ve overlooked and it turns out to be ‘the Woolworth’.
March 22, 2014 at 4:27 am
This is criminal OMG. One never wears sock’s with “jerusalem docks”.
March 22, 2014 at 6:29 am
March 22, 2014 at 6:58 am

March 22, 2014 at 7:30 am

March 22, 2014 at 3:12 pm
Unless you’ve just had foot surgery.
March 22, 2014 at 5:23 pm

March 24, 2014 at 9:28 pm
some looks are honestly for those 16 yrs old and younger, and that’s okay, diversity in fashion
March 25, 2014 at 6:10 am
I’d prefer shoes, personally…
Check it out: http://www.tamarshalem.com
March 25, 2014 at 8:04 am
Would need to see the entire outfit to see if it works, but on its own the combo doesn’t look very stylish..
March 25, 2014 at 8:35 am
Come on! just old german people still wear in this way!!!
March 25, 2014 at 1:41 pm
I love that this upsets so many people:)
March 26, 2014 at 7:06 pm
Mdrrrrrrrrrr…. It’s just horrible ! Bon franchement c’est à chier là faut avouer !!!
March 28, 2014 at 5:33 pm
Please make it stop!!! I think everyone has a great grandmother who has been wearing this for many years…photographing these will only encourage more to wear this. Very excited for the upcoming photos of men with their pants pulled way up way too high.
