Lou Reeds’ song “I’m Waiting For My Man” springs to mind although I’m sure the gentleman pictured would’nt dream of dealing smack.

Nicky Barnes chic?
But you’re right, he probably prefers Melvin Van Peebles.

These B&W portraits are great, but can we get some bio information about the subjects? Who are they? What do they do? Why did you choose them? Etc.

Great portrait, I love his hat and the bow detail of his shirt.

These studio photos are great.
Whilst I love your candid shots on the street, the whole lack of a formal set-up can sometimes be limiting, so as viewers we can get a clearer view of the little features here. Keep them coming!

So amazing! The light, the differents textures of the coat, the hat, and his beard, … love it!

A very Rembrandt-esque portrait! I love the different complementing textures of the man himself and his clothes. His gaze only enhances his gravitas. Wonderfully captured.

I love the white scarf tied over the white shirt. His look is hard and soft, but overall “Gentlemen.”
