    I adore Malick’s photos for the same reason I am drawn to yours Scott, namely, they truly capture life in all its everyday glory! A true “eye”. x

    Him and Seydou Keita are my absolute favorite photographers. I love how they capture post colonial life in Bamako.

    Malick is a star and his photos were revolutionary at the time. And he’s still out there, in his little studio in Bamako. Maybe you should go and visit…here is my portrait of him from March 2010
