Beautiful! I love how he breaks up the browns with the crisp white shirt. So melancholically old-school yet contemporary.

I love his suit, even though I’m not a big fan of brown shades!

I know this fellow is probably trying to achieve a relaxed/bohemian look, but the result is just slobby. The suit is made of lovely fabric, and the tone of the wool or cashmere turtleneck is an excellent match for it. BUT the suit’s sleeves are too long — zero shirt and turtleneck cuff is showing — the turtleneck collar is uneven — right pocket of suit is jammed up — and the suit needs a steaming/pressing (at least the right sleeve does). The worst of it is that the (concealed) shirt’s tails are showing — deliberate I am sure, but it just makes the whole outfit look unmade, like a messy bed — not casual. I think his hair is pulled back in a queue — it might actually look better down if it were neat and clean — but the aureole of frizz we see here contributes to the messiness. His beard would be improved if he had shaved his neck. Beneath all of this, he is (probably) quite a good looking guy and in a cleaned up, pulled together rig he’d look far better and could still have a relaxed fit and appearance. One wonders what footgear he was wearing. Other than all of the above…I have no further concerns….

I am confident that this man has achieved exactly the look he wants. He likes it, you don’t.
January 27, 2014 at 4:29 pm
I agree, love him

Yep. If you like the bohemian look he’s rocking it. If you don’t, you’ll send him home to start over.

Missed the point a little maybe?

Is it terrible that the hair ruins it all for me?

Beautiful man, beautiful outfit, beautiful light. BEAUTIFUL.

Love the expression of his face!

I like the informality of this. Brown is lovely but can be staid. He’s broken it up a bit with the layering and the cashmere sweater.

One of Scotts more amazing photos ever. Love the way the subject has pulled just enough of the white shirt out to answer the question: “Just how much brown is too much?”. Answers it perfectly.

What I love most about this gentleman is that he is not holding a cigarette.

Why is he wearing a dress shirt under a turtleneck? Doesn’t make sense.

I also not a big fan of brown, but on this gay everything looks just on place. The jacket reminds me of my grandfather suits. The total look is so calm .
