I wear these for art projects my self and they are comfortable and stylish. Suits like this allow artists to display their work and style without having to do anything because their outfit IS their canvas.

Nice candid moment.
December 9, 2013 at 5:40 pm

as much for the comments as for the photos.

Really love this shot! Great photo
December 10, 2013 at 8:58 am
This is a new level of fashion, a fashion “mood”.
December 10, 2013 at 10:47 am
It’s funny how people comment on her “great style” when I see this photo more of an observation on how a utilitarian outfit can be captured to portray an interesting and unintentional look.
She is either an artist or painter for practical reasons, like walls, furniture, or theatre sets – who knows. The jumpsuit is a painter’s suit, and the shoes are for comfort and practicality. If you describe this look, it doesn’t sound special, but when it’s captured like this – totally random, candid, and natural – you see something interesting about it.
These kinds of photos are some of my favourites because they cause you to think. While I do love the shots at fashion shows – just to appreciate design and style – those people are die-hard fashionista types who dress to be shot by bloggers. This woman clearly did not, and there is something special about that.
December 10, 2013 at 11:42 am
You are absolutely right. People see more in it than it is. I’s just a nice girl in an overall
December 10, 2013 at 1:18 pm
Yep. Rosie the Riviter was cool, after all.
December 11, 2013 at 9:57 pm
In regards to this women “clearly” not dressing to be blogged, am I the only one who wonders how the hands and hair and shoes are so clean in comparison to the layers of paint splatter and smear on the coveralls? As someone who has her own craft/art, I can guarantee that if she in fact painted whilst wearing this getup, the paint would have flecked elsewhere. There isn’t a day I leave the studio without tell-tale signs no matter how careful I’ve been. Even if she hasn’t painted yet for the day, those shoes would show a history of being a designated painting pair. I hope that these are newly transitioned paint shoes, and she isn’t a poseur because that would be truly disheartening.
December 13, 2013 at 7:38 pm
Good points … She could be starting her day, or maybe she is a poseur. Who knows. I think of this more as an interesting observational shot than a fashionista blogger shot.
December 26, 2013 at 11:47 pm
do others really wear Converse only for function and comfort?
December 10, 2013 at 10:58 am
Wow! Incredible fashion sense in this young lady. I love how some of the paint splashes match her tennis shoes and even the wall she is leaning against.
December 10, 2013 at 1:24 pm
A coffee break is always a nice moment! Great photo!
December 10, 2013 at 7:02 pm
Wow, this woman is really good at pulling that off. As cool and tuff as she looks in it, I think certain people have to have the right qualities to pull something this neat and different off. Like confidence, and self respect. See how confident that woman looks? Its really stylish the way she wears something so…un-stylish, and pulls it off perfectly! A++ She kinda remind me of Sarah Connor off of The Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991). (Also, an applause to the person who mentioned Rosie the Riveter.) Great blog! Sweetest styles!
December 10, 2013 at 8:21 pm
This is one of those shots. Rosie the R. Great!
December 10, 2013 at 9:42 pm
It’s clear that this chick is cool, and clearly she didn’t dress to make a fashion statement, this is who she is, a painter of some sort taking a break, she can be commended for her image and Scot should be commended for a good picture.
December 11, 2013 at 4:25 am
Great style. Its her graceful figure and pretty hair contrasted with the boiler suit.

Luv, Luv, Luv! This is the epitome of cool. I love Valentino, Tom Ford and just sick, high glamour, but this is true glamour. You get up, go to work, buy a coffee just to get out of the studio to take a break, and you look like this. Thanks again, Sartorialist.
