I love the composition of this. It would have been even better had there been a woman and a man, but the pony tail makes it ambiguous enough. ;)

In Italy we say: “Man is like a bow tie” because he flies from flower to flower. So, better that he declare his way to be like a bow tie, wearing it! http://trescic.wordpress.com/2013/04/26/luomo-e-farfallino/

The contrasts are awesome in this pic.
Funny how, while the woman and the man are seated appropriately in front of the Women and Men restroom doors, the more “femininely” seated is the man, with his legs crossed, whereas the girl is a lot more masculine in her attitude.

One of the most amazing photos ever. Just love it!

These two guys are quintessential Lower East Side inhabitants. They are not at all from two different worlds., rather their appearance is the manifestation of the same LES ethos that has characterized this very cool neighborhood for decades. I know because I’ve been living in this city for over 20 years. Love this photo.

Interesting, no one in the comments recognizes the graffiti on the men’s door. I guess that makes me a kid. It’s Helga from the 90s Nickelodeon show Hey Arnold!
