Weirdly enough, I think I kinda like them with the heels (with the flat shoes, not so much).

I appreciate Prada’s bold and unorthodox design in putting actual faces on the clothes, but, in practice, I’ve always found human faces on clothes difficult to wear and a bit creepy. I wonder how this collection will be translated for retail. Next spring will we all be staring each other down with two sets of eyes??

I love some, but some of them so dominate the models it’s like the humans are unimportant and only serve as hangers.

A complete strike out. The clothes make great photos, but I don’t see any women wearing them outside of the runway. The worse ones are the bra dresses, followed by the leg warmers and the ugly platform shoes. In order to hit a home run, you have to strike at the ball, so I admire the effort, but the results are dismal.

I completely agree. I never really like the idea of wearing a bra on top of anything.

These clothes epitomize the contempt of large corporations for their customers. Anyone who wears those contorted ugly face-coat/dresses will be effectively invisible (a non person). No one will see your face. All eyes will be fixed in horror at your pelvic area. Prada devotees will be walking billboards of self-contempt – after paying a large amount of cash for the privilege. Creepy indeed!

    Love it!
    Can’t stop thinking about it!
The bravery, the absurdity, the humor, the glamour, the fun, the exaggeration, the enthusiasm!
Even if I can’t afford these clothes, knowing that this woman, Miuccia Prada, is putting this idea of women out there makes me walk with a spring in my step, whatever I choose to wear that day!
    Brava!!!!!!!

Prada is copying the traditional Kuna Indian women’s tradition for the leg sock. Those women work the leg sock up in beads with very similar colorful patterns.

    • Farnaz

No, you’re not the only one. Myself and another commentator hated it too. It was awful and impractical.

        September 21, 2013 at 8:13 am

I just don’t understand unless she is gearing toward a certain market such where this kind of dolly stuff is often worn?! Like you

Farnaz I think this is highly impractical. I don’t even know if I would say it is even interesting on the runway.

It will be interesting to see what parts of this show if any hit the streets or offices.

There are those who say that Prada’s show just intend to sell the shoes and other accessories.

For heaven’s sake! I can see this show was fun to watch but who would wear this dresses? (Hang your painting on the wall.) I want to look beautiful not merely attention getting.

Wow! That’s why Muccia is a trendsetter. Either You Love IT or hate it. IT’s funny, eccentric, arty, fresh, unusual. For brave and eclectic fashion lovers with open mind and eye for colors and catchy details. I am absolutely in Love. Thank You Prada! Lot of Love!
