Ohhhhhh … I would really like to know her life story. Her eyes say so much. Wow.

It is hard for me to see this picture in terms of the usual “style” that The Sartorialist has been about. You are taking photos that document how other people in different cultures live and look like. I’m sure this woman has more than sartorialism on her mind – she’s trying to earn enough to get through the day.

I see some of your travel photos true photo journalism, showing us how other societies function. In these photos, style and sartorialism are most secondary to what you depict.

Whereas in the “usual” fashion/style photos you post, what they are doing during their day is secondary.

Thank you for expanding your horizons, and thereby expanding ours.

I love so much all your Balinese shots, it removes me so deeply because you give to these people such a beauty, such a dignity and you catch the colours as a painter !

What incredible style this woman has. Her choice of blue and the grayish blue (jacket) is just perfect. Clearly this woman is on the cutting edge.

In 8 weeks time i’ll be back. On Bali, on the markets, between the colours and those hardworking women.
You can’t help it but the camera never stops, there is so much to notice.
