March 22, 2010 at 5:50 am
Something Back to the Future and Matrix like about this couple. I think its the goggle like sunglasses and the boots. I want to ask them what they are waiting for…
March 22, 2010 at 5:51 am
Love this photo! They look a bit scared :-)

Romola shoes by Salvatore Ferragamo are the best!!!I love the shape of the heels!Laura
March 22, 2010 at 6:58 am
Would like to see the colour version … Sart, do you b&w the occasional shot where colour doesn't play such a huge role (i.e. where fabrics and patterns stand out more)? What makes you choose greyscale?
Her layering anticipates the breath of spring out there … the mid-teen (Celsius) temps like here in London. His ensemble: perfectly unadorned.
I like his jacket.
March 22, 2010 at 7:10 am
WOW this couple is ridiculously cool. I remember seeing this guy posted somewhere else and he has the best glasses!
March 22, 2010 at 7:19 am
She looks incredible.
March 22, 2010 at 7:25 am
hmm… somehow they remind the film "5th element" their seriousness or something. And they both have got great footwear, really special.
That is simply an amazing shot The duo just looks sublimeI love his coat with the interesting take on the belt and her architecturally minimalistic shoes.
So simple and yet edgy
Provocative in a good way
March 22, 2010 at 7:42 am
The Sartorialist has done them quite a favor by shooting them in b/w. The faces stand out in a more interesting way.
March 22, 2010 at 7:56 am
Ooh, how original this is.

March 22, 2010 at 8:02 am
Why that picture reminds me "Blade Runner" (Ridley Scott, 1982) and "Bis am Ende der Welt ("Until the end of the world".Wim Wenders,1991)?Because it's cosmopolitan:it reflects our time without being slave of it.It's present and real but also -whit the aid of the black and white treatment- not ephemeral.Good work Scott!

March 22, 2010 at 8:09 am
This, dear Sart, is a pretty freaking cool photo…
March 22, 2010 at 8:15 am
What a cute couple! I love her shoes
March 22, 2010 at 8:18 am
the black and white photos are amazing!
March 22, 2010 at 8:27 am
It is a beautifull picture… Love them
March 22, 2010 at 8:31 am
As much as i love Black & White, I wish this one was in color. For some reason, I think that there's something I am missing. Weird– because I should be the last person to say this . . .
Otherwise, I do love the photograph and it does have great presence in B&W.
The cold has everyone rethinking the balance of practicality and style. The portrait is cinematic.
March 22, 2010 at 8:34 am
Wonderful in black and white. From another era – possibly futuresque.
March 22, 2010 at 8:43 am
I LOVE THEIR ATTITUDE
The (Style) Realist
March 22, 2010 at 8:50 am
Amazing looking couple. Now if only I could get my bf to dress like that and we'd be set lol
March 22, 2010 at 8:55 am
The texture of his coat is wonderful.
I love how they both look so annoyed. At you?
oh i like their style. PAris? hmmm it's been too long since i've been there obviously. fantastic shot!
March 22, 2010 at 9:06 am
Great shot. But the colored version? Is it possible?
March 22, 2010 at 9:32 am
Can't agree her miscellaneous fashion-look is cool. He on the other hand…
March 22, 2010 at 9:42 am
stunning picture! love the classic feel!
March 22, 2010 at 9:44 am
Expression-full shall we (can we) say?!
The clothes suit the people, and the opposite is true. The angle, the writing on the wall, the cigarette.
Master piece. This should be the cover of your next book!
March 22, 2010 at 10:01 am
Wow! Now that is FIERCE!!
Love this in black and white…

March 22, 2010 at 10:22 am

March 22, 2010 at 10:47 am
I love their intensity!
March 22, 2010 at 10:57 am
i bet she has killer calves from those shoes (which are amazing)
March 22, 2010 at 10:59 am
I don't know why but I'm getting a Japanese gangster comedy vibe! Adore her boots.
March 22, 2010 at 11:04 am
I love their faces. he looks so extracelestial, she looks terriefied.
March 22, 2010 at 11:20 am
March 22, 2010 at 11:23 am
What a great picture, absolutely amazing! I like her style, the look in her eyes, the way she stands, every piece she is wearing… I only don't think the boots contribute to his look. They make his legs O-shaped. But that doesn't decrease the greatness of this picture at all!
Life with Kaishon
March 22, 2010 at 11:29 am
She looks like she is ready to go : )
March 22, 2010 at 11:31 am

March 22, 2010 at 11:38 am
I love their styling
March 22, 2010 at 11:39 am
This couple is incredible! I want to see the rest of their wardrobe. The fabric of his coat makes me want to reach through my mac for a feel…serious high impact fashion!
March 22, 2010 at 11:49 am
They look cool.
March 22, 2010 at 12:01 pm
Incredible photo! There is nothing that I love more than black and white photos.
March 22, 2010 at 12:10 pm
This black and white tones are beautiful and their expressions are so cool. Love it.
March 22, 2010 at 12:18 pm
His boots are so interesting. He does not seem to be too concerned with being photographed. She is not shy about being photographed but is not sure why her picture 'must be at this moment.' This is a great moment of stylish spontaneity.
March 22, 2010 at 12:41 pm
Great photography. I love her trousers rolled up and her belt. xo
March 22, 2010 at 12:47 pm
i love the girl's trousers.xo
March 22, 2010 at 1:06 pm
what a fabulous shot!
March 22, 2010 at 1:08 pm
What a great photograph.
March 22, 2010 at 1:09 pm
Both great outfits! His boots look like a hybrid of cowboy boots and girls leather boots, definitely a more interesting mixture that I have seen.
March 22, 2010 at 1:16 pm
sci fi nostalgia bohemia thanks
March 22, 2010 at 1:23 pm
I love the look, am trying to achieve layering like this, effortless and yet, deliberate.
March 22, 2010 at 1:30 pm

March 22, 2010 at 3:40 pm
Beautiful, artistically done photo! I am curious to see what the actual color palette is too!
P.S People have got to stop saying "I love that/those" all the time…
March 22, 2010 at 3:54 pm
My first thought was that this guy looks like a supervillain!
My second thought is that supervillains are one stylish crew, despite constantly wanting to take over or destroy the world.
March 22, 2010 at 4:03 pm
absolutely love this look!!! fab!
March 22, 2010 at 4:15 pm
why do you have soooo many shots of smokers?
March 22, 2010 at 4:37 pm
you would see her look anywhere which is not to take anything away from her but he on the other hand has tweaked everything just enough to make this look totally his own
Andre Kertesz, Sart, but for the sourness of the subjects. Like youth itself, style is sometimes wasted on the sullen young.
March 22, 2010 at 4:51 pm
*SMACK*(the sound of my jaw hitting my desk)p.s. was that super cheesy?
March 22, 2010 at 4:59 pm
LOVE THEM. Oh this is style at it effortless best
Just standing and looking chic
Scott what a stunning shot- in black and white
They both look incredible
Love is boots
March 22, 2010 at 5:43 pm
Now THAT looks like "the future" and a very stylish one at that. Awesome. B&W was perfect for that shot. On any other man I wouldn't like those boots, but they look great on him. Love their 'tude as well.
March 22, 2010 at 6:40 pm
her heels with those pants are a good combination.
March 22, 2010 at 7:00 pm
Gorgeous girl and gorgeous ensemble :)
March 22, 2010 at 7:44 pm
I have to admit I've been quite critical of you photos in the past, but this one certainly deserves high praise. It's near fine art.

The Snake Wrangler
March 26, 2010 at 2:51 am
This picture just conjures up a bit of nostalgia for me. The man is almost Dr.Strangelove and the woman is a sort of dark Brigitte Bardot.I love everything about it.
March 26, 2010 at 4:17 am
