Scott; I am so glad you did a post featuring the womens wear from the collection. Apparently the fact that there were so many female models on the catwalk was to highlight the fact that the soldiers that fought wars in tropical paradises relished pin-up girls and temptresses and oh what a stunning temptress Miuccia conjured up. The outfits were complex in their ideas but thoroughly amazing. above all; how good are the accessories, my girlfriend swooned when she set her eye on those bags!

Shocking!!!! I am speechless!
The collection is awful! Can’t see anyone wearing this.
Another disappointment from Prada!
She used to be my favorite.

It looks like she was trying to hard. It’s not enjoyable and so bad on many levels.
June 24, 2013 at 1:25 pm
Sorry to say I agree. Although I do really love the old Hawaiian prints, I don’t like these color combos, they are extremely hard to wear by 90% of the population!.. and those boxer style shoes? Really? They look awful with those dresses. I like some of the bags, they are the best thing about this collection.
June 25, 2013 at 5:29 pm
I agree. I don’t like any of these dresses, the colors and prints look so unappealing. I should start designing clothes. It is so difficult to find clothes that I really like. I didn’t buy anything new this spring/summer because nothing out there interested me. Well, I did buy a pair of sneakers, but that’s it.

That dress is soooo nice. Have a great day.

There is a fabulous 40s vibe to some of these pieces that really makes me smile…and who said sequins can’t work in day wear!?
June 24, 2013 at 7:44 am
The shoes are terrific – and maybe even comfortable to walk in?!?
June 24, 2013 at 4:29 pm
I think the right word is TERRIBLE, not terrific.
July 6, 2013 at 9:33 pm
agreed! I’m in love with the shoes completely. Can’t wait to get my hands on a pair.

I found the whole collection (women/men) depressing.
June 24, 2013 at 8:23 am
Quite a mash-up. Heady and certainly challenges notions of beauty and what women wear for day especially when compared to the street pics in this blog.
June 24, 2013 at 8:47 am
Wauw. Amazing dresses. Love the details!
June 24, 2013 at 8:53 am
I like the handbags a lot
June 24, 2013 at 9:03 am
I like all the embellishments!
June 24, 2013 at 9:33 am
interesting prints and embellishments… feels so off for the summer we just started, but i guess fashion does need to be one season ahead at all times

Lets talk about the shoes! Those look quite comfortable. I wouldn’t mind one bit if they caught on. :)
June 24, 2013 at 10:29 am
Love that detail!
June 24, 2013 at 11:07 am
I love the shape of the dress…I want to try one on :)
June 24, 2013 at 11:37 am
No. Not a fan of this.
June 24, 2013 at 12:35 pm
I like the shape of the dresses and colors. While I am not a big fan of the actual print, I do love the colors

I thought I’d be the only naysayer here, but instead I am one of many saying, NO.
June 24, 2013 at 2:30 pm
I don’t particularly love this collection, but I love how the models’ legs have such a healthy, toned, athletic look. The effect might owe itself to the stark lighting or the shoes or both.
July 8, 2013 at 10:05 am
Ditto Emily’s comments about the models’ legs. It was the first thing that caught my eye, and I think it is great. I too wondered if it is partly the effect of the flat shoes with the bunched socks? Whatever the cause, I found it refreshing.

the comfortable thing about swaeters, t-shirts, a high neckline… + sneakers. all with the zeitgeist of the 40ies, its like woman after the war… going out without high heels and make up. for this dresses, it needs more soul and attitude! the dresses dont help you. maybe a lot of make up and red lips would have done a lot for the models, or a nicer and softer light. they look so tired.

And, surprise, the amazing Marina Nery…

Someone who knows the first pic model name?

I love the direction PRADA has taken in the last couple of seasons. The over done ‘sophisticated’ with the predictable red carpet dress is stale and tiring. I love how MP still has the gusto to challenge the establishment. Accessories of course are on point.

I really like the 3rd and 4th looks (at least what we can see of them); the rest, no. I appreciate the play with the dress shape, but the print mixes & fabrics are giving me bad ’70s flashbacks.

Wow, what a great shot.
June 25, 2013 at 4:26 am
Great combination of textures, prints, patterns, materials and colors. the dresses are elegant, you can wear them in any size.
i do not like the shoes!
June 25, 2013 at 4:46 am
It has the 1940s look, pearl harbour prints.
Is it a post “war”(crisis) collection?
The combination of burgundy red and yellow is great! I love the colors, prints, textures, materials and shape of the dresses
Don’t like the shoes
June 26, 2013 at 12:45 am
Hmmmm, not sure yet. Sometimes it takes us mere mortals a while to get our heads around new looks. My eyes already like it, though. :-) Reminicent of Dries Van Noten’s pattern combinations of last year (or was it the year before). Love the shoes and the ‘freshness’ of it all. Ciao, Linda B
June 26, 2013 at 2:21 pm
All the models don’t look good without makeup. They all look like they just got up. Not really sure about the shoes. This collection does not speak any sort of elegance to me. Some of it looks decent for a woman to knock around in though.
June 27, 2013 at 10:03 pm
There seems to be a disconnect between the lavish decorations on the dresses and the models without makeup wearing shoes and socks that seem more attuned to sportswear. I think if the models were styled differently those dresses would be much more appealing. There is so much to love…the color and print combinations, the shape of the dresses, the fabric embellishment..Close, so close to something I could love.
