A pint of water – no wonder he’s sitting by himself.

Could be vodka.
June 19, 2013 at 6:12 am
I know! What a lightweight!
June 24, 2013 at 12:24 am
I’d sit with him all day long. Trust me with a face like that he is completely alone by choice.

June 18, 2013 at 3:13 pm
Loving this picture, he looks so cool!
June 18, 2013 at 3:15 pm
The 90′s again! I love this look, the look of all the British shoegazer boys from back then. They were all so very beautiful and sensual. He’s total channeling young Mark Gardener of Ride here.
June 24, 2013 at 2:47 am
Isn’t he a gorfous man?
June 18, 2013 at 3:16 pm
Love the table top.

June 18, 2013 at 3:35 pm
he is really concentrated on his phone!
Love the table and the place!
June 18, 2013 at 3:41 pm
Don’t you see this same image in bars, restaurants, cafes and the like, all over the world. A man and his smart phone. Waiting for someone? Checking his email? Texting? Whiling away the hours? Where is his girlfriend?
June 18, 2013 at 5:45 pm
…or his boyfriend for that matter?
June 18, 2013 at 4:01 pm
Such a nice one.
June 18, 2013 at 4:12 pm
Nice shot, but the dude loses major cool points for drinking water at a pub while texting away on a bright blue phone.
June 23, 2013 at 9:22 am
Water is the ultimate drink.
June 18, 2013 at 4:15 pm

Sounds wonderful. Have had enough quick dips in the icy pool myself unfortunately but London is a great icy pool and like the pub shot. Would like it even more if he had a pint in front of him :-)
I’m very much looking forward to my five-minutes-a-day-summer-vacation! Thank you!
June 18, 2013 at 5:39 pm
Come back! It’s hot here now! (although, this being the UK, it’ll snow before the end of the week).
June 18, 2013 at 5:48 pm
No matter how I try a really good chunky sweater just looks like a really good chunky sweater on me instead of me looking good in a really good chunky sweater (sigh)…That said this kid and the sweater compliment each other seemingly effortlessly.

Looking forward to a virtual vacation of worldwide style. Can’t wait.
June 18, 2013 at 9:25 pm
Oh those eyebrows overarching his gaze into “this twittering world”!
A smartphone and a glass of water can wash away any memory of why he was there in first place.
June 18, 2013 at 9:50 pm
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the pics. How long are you in Sydney for?

June 18, 2013 at 10:04 pm

June 18, 2013 at 11:26 pm
Ohhh Baliii – be sure to check out Sari Organic in Ubud! And take a boat out to the Gili islands!
June 18, 2013 at 11:59 pm
“This trip will literally take me around the world. London, Florence, Milan, Paris, Madrid, Bali and Sydney”.
I was living in Sydney and was at Paddington for your book signing a few years ago. I’ve since relocated to Singapore; you should definitely drop by this city!
June 19, 2013 at 12:51 am
Love this candid portrait. As others have expressed, I’m a bit flabbergasted by the pint of water.
June 19, 2013 at 1:23 am
Bali! Can’t wait
June 19, 2013 at 3:18 am
It’s all about his hair, its texture and the sweater one. And the light. And the green of the daisies.
All right. Ehm. It’s many things :-)
June 19, 2013 at 3:21 am
U coming? : no answer
U still coming? : no answer
U there? : no answer
The sartorialist just took a pic of me. : Wait. Coming right now.
June 19, 2013 at 3:30 am
I see nothing that says ‘London’ in this photo.
The slow pace
June 19, 2013 at 3:59 am
I’d love to come, Mr. Schuman! Specially to Florence!! :)
Looking forward to seeing all your pictures!
Have a nice Summer!
June 19, 2013 at 6:30 am
Dear Scott – you are coming to Sydney? Are you doing a book signing or similar or just having a quiet look around? Could you please post something on the site if you are doing some sort of public appearance here in Sydney. Would love to be there. Chilly here now. B

It’s a pity you are not making a stop in Kuala Lumpur! :-)
June 19, 2013 at 8:54 am
If you come to Spain, you should visit San Sebastian, which is very near from France (not more than half an hour), it has the best restaurants in Spain, and there are “beautiful people” all over the town.
“How we wish you would visit us”
June 19, 2013 at 10:43 am
What a beautiful face. Lovely photo

For all of you whining as to why he’s drinking water, well he happened to be modeling at that time and place for TOPMAN Collection.
He’s a genuinly nice guy,
if you want see more of him here is his instagram
Jack Taffel, the boy in the photo!
June 19, 2013 at 6:11 pm
I’m the boy in the photo! Can I just say, I was drinking water because I’m 17 and I had just gotten out of walking the Topman S/S 14 show. I fancied a sit down and some water. To those of you complimenting my look, thank you :)
June 19, 2013 at 8:20 pm
you gorgeous human being! love the knit.
June 19, 2013 at 11:26 pm
When I came to DC’s book signing, you asked whether you should come to Bali, and you will..!!! You’ll love Bali
June 20, 2013 at 1:01 am
He looks a lot like Cole Mohr, I thought he was at first but he has no tattoos so it can’t be
June 20, 2013 at 2:03 am
Aaaah can’t wait for your pictures from Bali! I am Indonesian!
June 20, 2013 at 6:47 am
What an impossibly beautiful boy — his bone structure is swoon-worthy! And I *love* that he’s drinking water, rather than getting schnockered in the middle of the day… (-:
June 20, 2013 at 6:52 am
Great moment, nice guy…I’m glad that I can follow u in your trip!
June 20, 2013 at 9:50 am
Yes, I’m very much in a holiday mood, bring it on, Scott! Five minutes a day is better than nothing… xx
June 20, 2013 at 4:49 pm
You captured a great atmosphere. A painting from an old Dutch master.
June 21, 2013 at 12:36 am
Yes please, I’ll come along…But please promise you’ll keep the posts coming over the weekends too or I’ll be getting withdrawl symptoms real bad. Ciao, Linda B x x
June 22, 2013 at 4:28 am
I can’t wait to see your take on Bali!
June 22, 2013 at 8:21 am
He is beautiful. May have a bit to do with the pint of water. He is definitely not a man’s man, thank god!
June 22, 2013 at 10:55 am
Yayy I can’t wait for you to come to Sydney!!! I only know of your Oroton shoot in Sydney, and I have been wanting to see photos of some stylish Aussies. Dream come true for me! I will definitely be following in interest!

Bravo – love this pic! So Philip Lorca Di Corcia, I mean the light is… like a drama and so beautiful. Definitely love your work.
July 13, 2013 at 10:02 am
Looking forward to your Sydney visit! It’s winter right now, but Australian winter is quite bipolar, it’s not exactly too cold, it doesn’t snow and the sun is always there so you’ll definitely be finding interesting characters. Hopefully I’ll spot you in a crowd :)
August 8, 2013 at 1:15 am
This is real beauty!
August 13, 2013 at 4:19 pm
My favorite so far, the moment is really captured : the handsome guy, in his handsome cardigan, in this common place. The beauty is revealed in this common place. Not the first time and I’m sure not the last. Thank you.
