First it was the glasses that pop out of the photo. Then I noticed how they get echoed by the black buttons, black shoes, finally the black bike tires. Very interesting capture.
She a bit strange, isn’t she?
June 11, 2013 at 5:45 am
i love her outfit. i wish i could put together such a cool look! :)
June 6, 2013 at 10:01 am
Things I love most about this? Accessories! Black? shoes/socks, POP of orange tote and FAB sunnies. Each a statement in their own right!

I love this outfit! this orange bag is really nice!!

love the orange touch
This here is a perfect example of how orange should be used: just once in an ensemble, sometimes as a main in summer but best served as an accessory.

Somehow can’t resist imagining the coat uninhabited. Just like that. With the bag and the blue stripes on the wall in the background. That would be wonderful.
June 6, 2013 at 10:28 am
That coat is gorgeous!
June 6, 2013 at 10:31 am
I keep saying that my faforite color is blue – and it really is.
THAT BEING SAID, a touch of neon orange is so cool for hot weather(pun intended), I just can’t get enough of it!

Pretty the coat <3
June 6, 2013 at 10:48 am
she looks sweet, and the shot is gorgeous. i find the proportions slightly awkward – the heel of her shoe extends beyond the heel cup; the trench is enormous compared to her tiny frame; the glasses emphasize her proud forehead. very attractive all together – i would be happy if she smiled at me. :)
Hmmmm … not sure about this. I find the light fabric of the dress or skirt weighed down by the coat and shoes. I also find the dark socks odd with this type of shoe. It kind of works in an editorial way because she is is tall and slender but it looks a bit awkward to me. But I love that fashion and style is about risk and breaking rules and widely differing opinions.
June 6, 2013 at 10:53 am
great shot, she looks adorable.
June 6, 2013 at 10:54 am
Beautiful photo and style, I love the mood the colors are inspiring!
June 6, 2013 at 10:59 am
I love the coat and the combination of the neutral colours with the bright orange! So cool!
You have already used this incredible wall with the blue pipes ! The orange bag is perfect !
June 6, 2013 at 11:02 am
I don’t know why, but this photograph makes me very uncomfortable for some reason. I don’t want to know what’s in that bag.
June 6, 2013 at 11:04 am
Loving the contrast! :)
June 6, 2013 at 11:31 am
cool shoes !
June 6, 2013 at 11:37 am
The coat is an interesting choice for a June day. Love her face and her style.

Divine look! Just love that pop of orange! and that blazer!!!
June 6, 2013 at 11:49 am
jersey street is one of my favorite little obscure streets in the city. i love the pop of blue shutters against the otherwise dingy building. and i really love the pop of orange in this photo.
June 6, 2013 at 11:52 am
Nice colors and style, but I find this look strangely awkward/ disproportional. Maybe, with different glasses and shoes it would be just perfect.
June 6, 2013 at 12:16 pm
Love the oversized coat!!
June 6, 2013 at 1:35 pm
Really like it! There is something in this oversized coat.
June 6, 2013 at 1:41 pm
I really don’t like this look. The glasses don’t compliment her face and the over-sized coat is not working. I feel like she is very beautiful but this outfit is hiding her or at least not bringing out her attractive qualities.
It also makes me fear that 90′s style is resurfacing, an era I am not fond of.
June 7, 2013 at 12:04 pm
Thank you. I thought it was just me thinking the outfit totally hid a beautiful girl. The hair looks just weird with the severe, angular clothes and the glasses don’t go with anything else. The coat would be nice open over a fitted dress with the hair pulled back. Or the hair would be great with a clingy, romantic dress and cardi. This whole look is just disjointed and odd.
June 6, 2013 at 1:47 pm
That coat is just perfect. Have a nice day.
June 6, 2013 at 2:17 pm
I find this look very heavy–the bulky coat, overloaded bag and clunky shoes overwhelm her delicate proportions.
June 6, 2013 at 2:27 pm
I know it’s an oversized coat but it makes her head looked photoshopped onto a larger torso – a bit unbalanced.
How does Scott find these deserted streets? Was she on her way to Mulberry Street Library?
June 6, 2013 at 2:38 pm
Lov e the outfit but not totally sure about the shoes underneath…
June 6, 2013 at 2:59 pm
Love her coat!
June 6, 2013 at 3:17 pm
Love the coat but the fake Céline bag ruins it for me.
June 6, 2013 at 3:32 pm
Such interesting cuts and proportions. Ultra cool.
June 6, 2013 at 4:17 pm
She aint climbing on that bicycle. Is she?
June 6, 2013 at 4:18 pm
Love seeing somebody that is using a pop of color correctly. Also, her hair makes the look so much better. Not sure if it would have the same effect if she had another hair style.
Thanks so much for sharing dear, x http://chictrends.co.uk/

Nice photo “backdrop,” however, I’m not a fan of the ensemble. While the pop of orange does complement such a neutral canvas, the look of the bag (minus the color) diminishes the sophistication (not quite the word I’d like to use, but can’t think of another at the moment) of the outfit. It looks too much like a bag as oppose to a handbag. I think the coat is a bit too heavy for the dress and the socks are committing one of fashion’s worst crimes, which is cutting her off in the wrong place. It is my opinion that midi dresses are favorable on taller women; on shorter women only if wearing at least 3.5″ heels. She does herself a fashion injustice by pairing hers with socks. If it’s cold enough for such a coat, tall boots (heels or rider) or the shoes shown in photo (minus socks, of course) would be preferred. I hope I don’t sound harsh; not my intention.
June 6, 2013 at 5:05 pm
love the socks in the shoes, and the orange bag that illuminates the outfit :)
June 6, 2013 at 5:48 pm
Reminds me of a little girl playing dress up!
June 6, 2013 at 5:58 pm
Love this photo, she looks great!
June 6, 2013 at 6:27 pm
très joli look :)
June 6, 2013 at 7:47 pm
She looks like another Olsen twin which I love but I wish her hair were straight.
June 6, 2013 at 8:34 pm
Nope, this is not doing it for me. Great lighting, though.
June 6, 2013 at 9:18 pm
There’s something so intriguing about orange. Pops so well off the champagne colored coat.

Wow! Love her – throw up some damask print wallpaper and this could be a John Currin painting.
June 7, 2013 at 1:08 am

Great style! Love the stone outfit and the orange bag. I find adorable and very stylish how she is wearing the sleeves rolled up!
June 7, 2013 at 7:48 am
Everything looks too big on this young woman. With good alterations, this ensemble would be perfect, (minus the socks.)
June 7, 2013 at 7:59 am
The touch of bright neon with this light outfit look very chic and sexy!
June 7, 2013 at 8:42 am
Love the neutrals with a pop of orange!

June 7, 2013 at 11:42 am
Out of all the gorgeous and fashionable New Yorkers that roam the streets at every minute, you choose this tourist? How dull. I honestly don’t know what you were looking for in this “look”.
June 14, 2013 at 2:59 pm
oh, maybe because it’s really an interesting subject, clean, smart and effortless chic outfit with a pop of bold orange, really contemporary and avantgarde, well balanced shot great instantly capture moment, perfect!
June 7, 2013 at 12:07 pm
She is lost in fabric, isn’t she? Her great-aunt’s suit I would imagine. Only her hair breaks free!
June 7, 2013 at 1:07 pm
June 7, 2013 at 1:14 pm
Looks like it was put together from an oxfam shop – the clothes don’t even fit properly
June 7, 2013 at 1:35 pm
Her hair rocks but I wish her clothes fit a bit better.
June 7, 2013 at 4:43 pm
Love that bag! Orange is a great color.

Great and inspirational outfit!!!

June 8, 2013 at 5:17 am
I hope with all my heart that this shoes/socks combination will be washed away from the surface of the earth really soon. I thought that it’s a 5-minute thing among fashion-conscious people, but (at least on your blog) it seems not to be.
I’m sorry to say that, but there are better ways to spend the money on clothes than aiming for a homeless person look.
And I’m begging you mr. Schuman, stop photographing this combo, it’s like dipping strawberries in salt. It was never meant to work and never will.
June 8, 2013 at 7:26 am
Love that bag!!! So good!!
June 10, 2013 at 4:52 am
