Ce n’est pas insensé. Le plus difficile est de parvenir à ce que nous définissons, réellement, comme a beautiful world.

I use to get my hair cut at a salon that had huge prints of Slim’s photos on the wall, all for sale, all out of my price range, but they were amazing, it was like going to a little exhibit once a month.

I’ve never actually heard of Slim Aarons before but I will definitely have to check him out purely because the cover of the book looks so cool!

Love Slim Aarons, he photographed my grandfather in law in Haiti by his pool for Town & Country magazine in the 70′s. we have a copy of the photo and it is just amazing.

One facet of your work which parallels that of Slim Aarons: photographing fashion icons… Dello Russo, Lanphear, Issa, to name a few.

Was it really? That’s one of my favorite films, and I would not have recognized it. Wow. Great tidbit. Thanks.

That movie was filmed in England and Spain. Hotel du Cap in the South of France.

Haaa, Hotel du Cap, I lived there for a while, is even better than that photograph…
You can’t see the diamonds and the people I saw there, the food and the fine way the set up tables, the fine linen on the beds and the decadent air that floats on those corridors.
Nothing succeeds like excess.

Does it bother anyone else that the poolside itself is not parallel to the bottom side of the book?
