Isn’t the correct title: “Orange you’re thinking about it?”
May 22, 2013 at 6:29 pm

Stunning!! Every woman here is just perfection. I love the girl with the red hair on the bike- I love the beauty in the orange blazer. Finally, the girl in the flowered dress is so evocative. Thanks for these great shots.

May 22, 2013 at 4:32 pm

May 22, 2013 at 4:49 pm
Beauty in orange… as ‘diverse’ as the women in the four shots.
May 22, 2013 at 5:01 pm
WOW! Does the beautiful girl on the bike have a prosthesis leg?! She looks amazing, it’s a great inspiration to see a girl with a difficulty like this rooking it like she does! You really have an eye for this!
May 23, 2013 at 6:41 am
Yeah, I noticed it on the second glance only. Thumbs up!

May 27, 2013 at 2:26 am
I love that the beauty of the bike woman and the orange skirt are so outstanding, no one notices the leg…(yellow!). I wish she would turn around, and tell me her story. No doubt it is way better than fiction.

Love ALL of them though the tank top in the first photo is a bit too sloppy for her tailored pants, great sandals and belt.
May 22, 2013 at 10:44 pm
May 23, 2013 at 8:02 pm
I thought that was a Michigan tank . . . and that’s why it’s awesome.

May 22, 2013 at 5:20 pm
That blazer is a killer, gorgeous!!
May 22, 2013 at 5:28 pm
Does anyone else notice that the girl on the bike has a prosthetic right leg?
May 24, 2013 at 10:54 am
Amazing, confidant. Whoever made her prosthetic should receive a print of this shot to inspire other patients to Wear It and Own IT!
May 22, 2013 at 5:29 pm
All girls are dressed so beautifully that nobody even notices the missing leg!
May 22, 2013 at 5:35 pm
love the brick tones!
May 22, 2013 at 5:50 pm
i love the image of the woman on the bike, and have ever since you first posted it. i only just noticed her prosthetic leg, it’s so pleasing to see such an ‘aesthetically beautiful image’ with a woman who obviously has a story to tell, and how she’s riding a bike! i don’t mean this in any offensive way at all, i just really love the unassuming significance this image has!
May 22, 2013 at 5:52 pm
Orange is again the color trend of this spring summer 2013 i like this color for accessories i like woman in last pic with her bycicle

ORANGE was LAST YEAR’s Pantone Color of the Year 2012: http://www.pantone.com/pages/pantone/category.aspx?ca=88.
THIS YEAR’s Pantone Color of the Year 2013 is EMERALD: http://www.pantone.com/pages/index.aspx?pg=21055.
Why do I know this?
My only waterproof jacket is a pumpkin-orange Helly Hansen jacket, which I’m tired of but which felt somewhat stylist in 2012.
I stumbled upon the 2013 color while finding an illustration for a New Year’s blog post: http://yogaspy.com/2013/01/01/taking-stock-of-the-year/.
May 25, 2013 at 6:36 am
I am not sure at all about that sea foam color they are calling “emerald” and peddling right now. I saw a couple of girls in head to toe emerald and they look just like little pistachio nuts. Funny how the retail folk glom on to a color and sell it until they are blue in the face. Remember that bright raspberry they did in 2011? I love all colors. Its so funny to think that something as eternal as a color would be a trend, but they sure are.

May 22, 2013 at 7:45 pm
I would never in a million years put the pieces in that first outfit together, and yet there is something in her stature and the look on her face that gives such an air of confidence and authority, that I look at that shot and think, ‘wow, great look!’ I wobble on the idea that a confident woman can always look good – or that beauty/fashion is about loving yourself and feeling good about yourself. I want to believe that’s true but….
I like that this first shot is an affirmation that confidence, attitude, and thinking outside the box does wear well.
May 23, 2013 at 1:23 am
This outfit is totally unexpected but does work.
Love the belt, Kate Moss has one similar – I’m on the look-out!
May 22, 2013 at 7:49 pm
Oh my! That 3rd dress is so LOVE!
May 22, 2013 at 8:31 pm
does the girl in the bottom right-hand corner have a prosthetic leg? If so, what a badass!
May 22, 2013 at 8:32 pm
Sure to be a standout in a busy street anywhere in the world. Orange is such a trending color this year and I think it really envokes a sense of passion.
May 22, 2013 at 10:22 pm
Nice photo’s but the girl on the bottom right appears to be missing a leg.
May 22, 2013 at 10:24 pm
There is a leg missing bottom right. Or is that an illusion
May 23, 2013 at 11:03 am
She is not “missing a leg” – she just hasn’t got the one she started with!
May 24, 2013 at 12:55 pm
I love your repsonse! So perfect!
May 22, 2013 at 11:07 pm
Growing up, orange wasn’t really a color I liked, but I’ve grown to like it. Now, I find it so chic paired with browns, purples, whites and cobalt blue. Besides, it looks absolutely stunning on dark haired and/or dark skinned people, so I’m finally giving it a bit of a chance…it’s a happy color that works well for all seasons…quite versatile!
Now, as for the looks you posted, I ABSOLUTELY love the pepper outfit. I remember when you originally posted it and it’s still one of my favorites. And the bicycle girl is simply an amazing source of inspiration! So glad you took her picture!

The Dolce & Gabbana hot pepper skirt and bustier are all-time favorites of mine. I only wish for a more youthful/irreverent bag. The Birkin is so staid and status-y. Not fun.

Living in the Land of Many Vols Fans, I’m surrounded by orange. I try to ignore it as much as possible. (But the woman on the bike does look great!)
May 23, 2013 at 3:03 am
love that dolce dress !
May 23, 2013 at 3:46 am
UUUUIIIIII!!! I just have 3 Orange garments and will be my favorite in summer! Wonderful the lady on the bike. Orange in the new Red for a Sexy Summer.

I love it. I always think about orange.
May 23, 2013 at 5:34 am
Love these looks, and the bottom two ladies giving a lesson in keeping it classy whilst exposing some skin – perfect spring to summer transition!
May 23, 2013 at 5:49 am
Orange?OK.But, That type of orange!
May 23, 2013 at 6:07 am
I always find Orange a hard colour to work with, whether its neon or a mustard tone. But these outfits work perfectly! They especially look good with the industrial street style background.
May 23, 2013 at 6:10 am
I love this color, it’s pure Summer!

Thinking about orange? I’m thinking about it, dreaming about it, lusting after it, indulging in it…
I have orange sandals, shoes, bag, scarf (not necessarily all worn together) and my big black Great Dane has an orange collar. We are the orange club, I tell you. The Mandarinis.

They’re all so natural, so clean, so beautiful and unaffected. Reminiscent of watching Ali McGraw walk down the beach while in my teens. Pure beauty, grace and style. All of the above photos today. Thank you for sharing these.

On The Top this summer.
May 24, 2013 at 3:18 pm
I love the shade of orange in the first and fourth photos – they’re closer to an earthy tint. I like that shade rather than a shocking orange – looks to much like a pumpkin or carrot.
May 25, 2013 at 2:41 pm
That’s a color a usually never wear.. but I’m realazing that can result amazing! Love both the four looks! ;)
May 26, 2013 at 3:16 am
I Love the dress♥

Amei a mulher com a calça orange.
Simplesmente linda, elegante e charmosa.
May 31, 2013 at 5:42 pm
I have had your photo of the girl on the bicycle saved to my computer for the longest time, and I just wanted to say that is one of my favorite photographs. I follow the Sartorialist mainly for fashion oriented inspiration but that one picture made me appreciate the people in your photographs more than the clothes; because ultimately it is the person wearing the clothes and how they wear them that illustrates their message. Something about how beautifully her body, her prosthetic leg, the breeze and the bike all come together in an image that looks entirely natural spoke to me. I am having trouble articulating her how deeply that photograph affected me, for reasons unknown, but I hope I have given you some sense of the emotion.

June 14, 2013 at 7:01 am
I love it!
Do you think that the orange jacket in the top right corner is suitable for a business casual attire, or is it too casual to wear at the office?
June 24, 2013 at 2:37 am
Wow, cute photos!!! Loving the orange color!!!
