She really is lovely. I went all through High school wanting to look precisely like that, especially that gorgeous wild hair. Never did understand the straight hair craze, even though mine is ruler straight. Everything about her is perfect.

What a wonderful hair!

Hmmm, too much of a “Working Girl” vibe for my tastes. Lovely young woman though.
May 2, 2013 at 12:50 pm
You took the words right out of my mouth! Very cute girl, do love the play on patterns, the sneakers…not so much.

My thoughts too. I love the lighting and composition.

Its amazing how the styles that are a bit ahead of their time are completely misunderstood by the commenters. It just shows us that Scott knows fashion much better then those who follow him. As it should be I suppose. The shoes and the volume make the look.

I love it!! Playful, feminine and above all: comfortable!!
May 2, 2013 at 9:20 am
no matter how much I admire most of your photos, this pic is not pretty at all. She looks like a FFFPo = first found, first put on: her outfit does not express any charm or charisma
May 2, 2013 at 2:17 pm
Try ignoring the outfit for a moment, and everything will abruptly make a lot of sense. :-)

This is like Bohemian blues!
Nice look…. so casual, comfortable yet stylish :D
May 2, 2013 at 9:27 am
Love the print mixing, she’s gorgeous.
May 2, 2013 at 9:38 am
interesting with the sneakers. i’d have preferred a slimmer shoe
May 2, 2013 at 9:42 am
She has a real 80′s vibe going.
May 2, 2013 at 11:20 pm
Exactly! The value of this pic, at least in part, is the story it’s telling ina single image!
She looks so young and gorgeous!
May 2, 2013 at 9:50 am
hand-me-down chic! :)
May 2, 2013 at 10:02 am
Love the stripes & polka dots together
May 2, 2013 at 10:15 am

I love the lighting and the colors of this photo, but the outfit is dowdy!!
May 3, 2013 at 1:50 pm
Dowdy is the new black.
May 2, 2013 at 10:34 am
As I am scrolling down, I like the colors, prints, big hair paired with the “slouchy” shirt but……the socks and sneakers ? Nooo !
May 2, 2013 at 10:45 am
I love her hair! :)
May 2, 2013 at 10:52 am
i love her casual style !!!
May 2, 2013 at 10:53 am
Gorgeous girl – the outfit shouldn’t work but somehow does.
May 2, 2013 at 10:57 am
Great picture and I love her hair and skirt!!!
May 2, 2013 at 11:00 am
My favorite part, though, is her wearing a key as a pendant…I do that all the time! I wear an antique key from my grandparents’ home in Spain that is, at least, 300 years old! It has such a sentimental value for me because I used to spend my summers with them as a child…
Great shot! I’m loving how you’re playing a lot with light and shade lately!
May 2, 2013 at 11:10 am
She is so BEATY!
May 2, 2013 at 11:34 am
Love that subtle key necklace! And she has such beautiful, natural hair!
May 2, 2013 at 11:36 am
love the light of this pict! almu

May 2, 2013 at 1:12 pm
Nice photo! Great mix of stripes and dots!
May 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm
A little dumpy I feel…
May 3, 2013 at 10:21 am
However, it is a beautiful photograph and the light is magical.
May 2, 2013 at 2:04 pm
really sooooo nice..
May 2, 2013 at 2:36 pm
She is gorgeous, but I think the outfit is HORRID!
May 2, 2013 at 2:45 pm
She has amazing hair.
May 2, 2013 at 3:32 pm
First of- i love! Second- In my opinion, this young lady did not wake up this morning, thinking she was going to get photographed. It looks to me as though she loves some kind of art, whether that includes fashion or not, but she got dressed this morning the same way she would be getting dressed any other day. True to herself, true to her own style. She gives off that vibe i love- not really caring to impress and dress according to season- but at the same time not judgmental of others. I love when you photograph real simple people who have a unique sense of style, just because they DO- not because they know they will get photographed that day.
Amazing work as always. xoxo

May 2, 2013 at 5:19 pm
What! This looks like a fashion magazine “don’t”.
May 2, 2013 at 8:48 pm
Getting telly with your lenses huh? Interesting choice.
May 2, 2013 at 9:29 pm
What a beauty! The mix of stripes and polka dots is super cool! xo
May 3, 2013 at 3:12 am
What I like about her look is that she doesn’t try to impress people by wearing fancy designer clothes, and still, her effortless and casual outfit is very chic and memorable!
May 3, 2013 at 4:33 am
Oh, a latchkey child.
(so named because historically they wore their house key like the girl above)
May 3, 2013 at 5:12 am
Stripes + Polka + sneakers can only point to one thing, and that is cool!
May 3, 2013 at 11:26 am
C’amon now… this look sucks. White sneakers like this will NEVER be fashionable. Awful.
May 3, 2013 at 12:50 pm
No girl looks attractive wearing a skirt with seakers , even if fashion is freedom I don’t agree in not rispecting proportions and dresscode
May 4, 2013 at 1:43 am
She is so runway ready. Fashion is what you want it to be these days. I love the days when I can ignore all fashion rules.
May 4, 2013 at 6:05 pm
Not a fan of the last three looks for the fashion. The photography itself is great, though!
May 4, 2013 at 7:25 pm
Loving the clashing prints, she looks fab!
May 5, 2013 at 9:43 am
Juliana!!! Dope shot
May 6, 2013 at 11:53 am
If her face and hair weren’t so attractive, would so many people think she looked great? I think not…
May 6, 2013 at 6:00 pm
She’s adorable—the white sneakers can go though. There are lots of very comfortable interesting shoes available that would give her look a boost.

Love a curl girl who lets their hair be as nature intended it, but the outfit—-this is my mother 30 years ago, and not in a good way. She seems to have a nice figure, why bury it completely under heaps of shapeless clothes and shoes meant for the gym?
September 19, 2017 at 9:57 pm
Because it looks great. This is a perfect example of an outfit ahead of its time. I especially enjoy everyone here saying things like “white tennis shoe will nevr be in style” so funny, and so wrong. Py attention to the way the comments are often a thing of their time.

I met this girl in Paris! She is beautiful and has incredible style.. I know what drew u to her. She has that ‘Je ne sait quoi’ quality for sure!
