Bravo, HSM. I love sportcoats in subdued colors like camel mated with boldly colored slacks. I’ve been having fun with bold corduroy slacks this season as an antidote to the winter blues. Pics at my site.

Good news for the most part.I wear several ancient HSM.Fabric and build quality are VG.Gore above shoulder level is good,as is 3 roll 2.Seem to be of nice cloth.Good colors. Hard to go wrong with camel hair, but it goes bald quick.
Pox on yer ticket pockets.Even P. Diddy’s fake bespoke rubbish has a ticket pocket. Can you say AFECTATION?Exception for genuine coutry coat 40+ years old with hacking pockets and smell of horse. Bonus points if you got it off a dead guy.
I like the fat ties. Hope I have the head to go with them.

If you knew HSM price point, you wouldn’t need to spend much money. They are very affordable. Well at least if you pay in dollars not loonies. Dam exchange rates! Every time I go to London, I feel your pain.

If you want to find out what’s going on with HSM you should speak to Mr. Eric Jones who is now there. He was previously at Purple Label and Oxxford.

whats with ALL. THE. ORANGE. do you guys wear a lot of orange? i know it crops up as a color choice every now and again, and usually as a sportwear color, but in better casualwear it looks contrived.
and for Canadian : HSM is not as expensive as some italian brands (zegna, boss etc) but it is still Mucho Dinero! $800US for a sportcoat is still out of reach of many many men! harry rosen in toronto has some HSM, and you can get stuff cheap-er right about *now* on clearance. or, even better, if you travel to the states, you can get great deals on HSM at Nordstrom Rack.

Boss is not that expensive and, by the way, it’s german.

The windows at Bergdorfs are important. To be fair, however, I’ve got to say that I’ve seen similar window looks in Louis Boston and Scott Hill (LA) as well as, well, Barneys. I’ve even seen these looks in Carroll & Co. windows, and those are the most old man windows I’ve ever seen.
Not my style, but pretty well put together. I wonder how many American men have the cojones to pull some of the color combos off though.
For the record, I love burnt orange. It’s always been my accent color of choice and am actually wearing a burnt orange tee picked up at a random boutique in Spain under a grey Rogues Gallery printed sweatshirt today).

I love all of it, the ties area little to wide for me, but BRAVO!

Please elaborate: "When even Hart Schaffner Marx looks good, American menswear must be back on track." HSM are generally at a great price point for the quality, and the design, while sometimes can be a tone too far, are usually terrific. Does HSM have a another reputation?

Tweed (or tweed style) suits never go out of style!
