I love this trend, esp with long sleeves and gloves.

i didn’t see it at first but these ladies showed me how 3/4 sleeves are so versatile :)

Gives a whole new proportion to a coat…everything seems to be going up these days..the length of pants has really gone up and now its time for the sleeves…that’s fashion for ya…what goes up must come down!
March 21, 2013 at 6:50 pm
sometimes you have to wonder if they push this look to get people to buy more. Once the sleeves/pants have gotten as short as they can and you’ve gotten rid of all your longer pants/sleeved coats, the new trend will be back to long sleeves!

3/4 sleeves are great for a layering style!

Yea! I’ve been wearing a 3/4 sleeve coat for years.

I don’t think I am any more….3/4 sleeves always look way better on the hanger.

I love 3/4 sleeves in your stylish girl’s pictures but for me I have to think too hard to get it right… so I avoid wearing them.
See you in my blog, maybe.

I’ve been a fan of 3/4 sleeve for a long time and these looks are amazing! Love this collage!

I love the elegance of a drapey 3/4 sleeve coat, and the chance to showcase your layers underneath!

The girl in the middle – top row – always looks impeccable…
March 19, 2013 at 6:56 pm
Such a great sleeve so long as you have a great pair of long gloves or something interesting going on that’s NOT mottled purple arms and fingers!! Mind you, I love long armed gloves or extra long sleeved jerseys x
March 19, 2013 at 7:24 pm
I love them but I always have problems with “what to wear underneath”. Especially the woman on the bottom left did a great job!
March 19, 2013 at 9:02 pm
Definitely need long gloves with shorter sleeves. Some of those ladies look cold!
March 19, 2013 at 9:03 pm
I Love them, I love good layering and this lends itself to gloves and more bracelets
I lke such sleeves, too. But sometimes it`s too cold to wear ir in Siberia))) Super looks!Superb photos!

I think that it’s a great trend for the season.
March 19, 2013 at 11:16 pm
Not a fan. The pics and styles here are great, but I feel gypped every time I try on anything 3/4 sleeve. Like, where’s the beef? (Though if I could get my hands on some long leather gloves . . . yeah, that’s the ticket.) (Please excuse my 80′s references. I’m old.)

My favorite post of yours featuring a coat with 3/4 sleeves? February 18, 2010 — perfection!

I actually don’t own a single jacket that isn’t 3/4 sleeve! I love the hint of what lies beneath with this sleeve length. Also the opportunity provided to wear long gloves.

Absolutely YES! I love this trend! ♥

Prefer this coats for warm weather :-)
March 20, 2013 at 7:55 am
I absolutely LOVE LOVE love them. But not on me. I look like a fool with three quarter sleeves. I do best with either cap sleeves, no sleeves, or very long sleeves past my wrists. Its very gorgeous and lady like….but not on yours truly.
March 20, 2013 at 8:16 am
On this point I will not mince words: you must wear 3/4 sleeve coats with either bare arms or elbow length gloves. No sleeves showing…..EVER! Thank you.
March 20, 2013 at 12:38 pm
I have two, one grey and the other burgundy… I love to wear them with elbow length leather gloves!!!!
March 20, 2013 at 1:42 pm
i have to admit, i wasn’t before but i sure am now!
March 20, 2013 at 3:20 pm
I LOVE everything about the outfit in the top right hand pic. Esp the proportions of the pants with the boots and then the oversized coat. Really nice.
March 20, 2013 at 5:23 pm
While all of these looks above are styled very well, I am more of a fan of the 3/4 sleeve coat during those days when it’s 50-60 degrees and you need something, but not a full on winter coat. It’s especially hard when you have a patterned coat and a patterned long sleeve. My favorite look with the 3/4 sleeve during the winter is the long glove that meets the sleeve.
March 21, 2013 at 12:12 pm
No, emphatic no even. Form follows function. Basic principle. The function of a coat is to protect us from the weather, ergo a three-quarter sleeve on a coat is not functional. To me they even look wrong, almost like children who have outgrown their clothes.

I think all of my coats were 3/4 sleeves this season. I had a lot of fun with sweater sleeves sticking out and long gloves. Except sometimes when I didn’t think I was left with cold hands and wrists. This is a great set of photos.
