A bit too much going on, too contrived…

I totally agree with you…too much of a good thing,kills a look!
March 18, 2013 at 9:17 am
It does seem like a bit too much up close, but would you have noticed such things from a distance? I’d like to see the whole outfit together…if he/she is wearing a long camel coat and then basic separates I’d say it was just enough.
Not arguing, but more curious to hear opinions!
March 18, 2013 at 8:36 pm
oh ! yes ! I agree with you
March 25, 2013 at 6:51 pm
I also agree. One less thing in the pocket and only one leather with studs.

LOVE the bag and coat so chic .
March 17, 2013 at 6:25 am
I like the detail.
March 17, 2013 at 7:01 am
However, could too many details kill the detail?
March 17, 2013 at 7:05 am
maybe too much ?
March 17, 2013 at 7:29 am
Great details indeed, so sharp!
March 17, 2013 at 7:30 am
As an African, i always appreciate savannah patterns. The leopard-printed scarf is fantastic, takes me back to Kenya years…
March 17, 2013 at 7:45 am
great shot…..not a fan of the envelope bag…a little to contrived
March 17, 2013 at 7:46 am
wow, this could be a gentleman, as well as a lady.
maybe the most interesting photograph I’ve ever seen.
keep us in limbo please!
March 17, 2013 at 3:40 pm
that’s exactly what I thought! but it really doesn’t matter which way it is because it works both ways. it’s even better that we cannot see the face, so we can tell the rest of the story (and look), everyone for itself

Such an edgy touch with the studded gloves!
March 17, 2013 at 8:02 am
Actually I love the pocket action going on…
March 17, 2013 at 8:23 am
wonderful details <3
March 17, 2013 at 8:43 am
I thought I didn’t like studs but these are perfetto.
March 17, 2013 at 8:47 am
GREAT photo!!!! I love the combo of everything here.
I also love that it’s not obvious is it’s a man or woman at first glance.
(I say “woman”, if you’re taking bets ….)

Love the print and this different textures in this photo. I agree with Simbarashe that the pocket area is the best part!
Do not love the embellishments on the bag and gloves– I always think of the Bedazzler (American women in their 20s will know what I am talking about). Cheap jewels and studs like these are not chic to me.
Unfortunately, same response here as when I see it elsewhere: “This X would be so perfect! Why did they add all this STUFF??”
March 17, 2013 at 11:15 am
I got a pair of studded gloves that look just like these at Zara!
I thought Mary Poppins had a bag, not a pocket.
Not effortless at all.
Great scarf though.
March 17, 2013 at 11:24 am
Love that scarf!
March 17, 2013 at 11:29 am
Lots of detail but it does look great!
March 17, 2013 at 12:15 pm
man or woman?
March 17, 2013 at 5:07 pm
Take a close look at the coat…left folds over right…a gentleman…right folds over left…a lady!

Agree with the first commenter; too contrived and trying way too hard..the Montblanc, really?
March 17, 2013 at 5:09 pm
Really beautiful shot as always, great accessories!
March 17, 2013 at 8:17 pm
Does any one know who makes this Coat?

Stunning bag and gloves!
March 18, 2013 at 4:58 am
Wow! Awesome look (is that better?)
March 18, 2013 at 8:25 am
too much, the gloves and the clutch kill one another, and that COMB!! yuk!!!
March 18, 2013 at 10:50 am
Love it all…but a comb in the pocket? seriously….won’t you show us the head of hair that goes with the comb?
March 18, 2013 at 9:23 pm
The pairing of the gloves and clutch is just perfect!
March 19, 2013 at 1:05 am
I love it! And the fact that its a man makes it even better and more interesting. Also love the 5, count’em 5 button cuff on the coat. This is style.

feel like they needed more and in various sizes to really make this work as a deluge of details….it’s got to be approached like pattern mixing.
the neverending story
