This look works because of this guys size…or lack of it. larger people can not wear this look.

what is this ‘fold-under’?. do you mean the guy has folded the rubberband inside? or that he tucked the sweater into his pants?

he folded the bottom hem the the sweater up and inside the sweater so that it sits more nicely on his hips.

Good, tight-ribbed waistbands fold under pretty easily. I used to like the look back in school days.

the sweater is beautiful and worn properly but look at the lenght of his pants. he ruined everything by being sloppy with his pants. take a look at where the pants break–you’ve got to be kidding me with that stuff.

Isn’t the length of these pants (jeans-like ones) always too long or too short for most? I alway send up pants like his.
You could get it to a taylor and get it cut to the right length, but that’s too much work & not worth the money….

I get my pants hemmed and it only costs about 10 dollars.

A couple of things – as a shorter guy I find tucking the sweater up like this (or just tucking it in my slacks) works well. I have some from Zara that are already shorter and fit me very well. The cotton ones are total wash and dry and have shown no wear at all after a couple of year’s use.
As far as the pants. They look fine. They appear to be a boot cut which you DO NOT want too short.
RE: too much work and too much money to have a tailor make your clothes fit right??? I don’t know how you can read this blog and even say something like this. Then either buy the right size or deal with the tailor. I don’t know what your budget is, but how many pairs of pants do you need altered every year? The cost to make your clothes fit well is certainly money well spent. As an alternative you must know someone who sews well enough to hem a pair of pants for you… Is there a theatre group in your town? Someone in the costume department can handle this easily enough. Good luck and – Thanks for reading!
