Wow! Thanks for the ‘heads-up’ about this…I want to be there NOW. (I’m in Victoria, Australia right now, so that could be tricky ;-) ) However, next time I’m in Paris I’ll go. We stayed in the Marais area last visit: enjoyed wandering around all the wonderful narrow streets, the galleries, studios, shops, patisseries etc in the neighbourhood. Tres bien!

my old family photos- actually any old mysterious photos in my possession are my treasures, all these stories they tell! It is so sad to see these portraits in the last picture laying there anonymously and unloved and waiting to be sold… almost like a sad lonely old blind sweet cat in an animal shelter….but probably better sold than trashed….

I think I would love it there.

Looks like your sort of shop, no wonder you would get lost in it! Sends the imagination to other worlds, yes?

A very young BB.
This is sometimes what you’ve got left of your past : photos.
The one of the older lady looking away broke my heart. It made me think of my mother, long gone.

This reminds me a bit of the old Untitled, which was on Prince Street between West Broadway and Thompson.

Always always on my to-do list when visiting Paris. My fridge is covered with their anonymous portraits from the past century.

great pictures. Someone one mentioned that you photograph in color to capture the clothes and shot black and white to capture the soul. So true.
