I love black & white photography. This is really special…reflects an everyday moment beautifully!I can’t stop looking at it…it’s great! http://heelsandpeplum.wordpress.com/
Oh that is lovely! We’ll never know anything about her, she’s a mystery. I was going to say it’s like a scene from a movie but scenes from movies only condense life. Life is more interesting. May you enjoy it always!
Ohhh! Look at her! I love a photo that fuels my imagination. What’s she looking at? What’s she thinking about? What’s the guy calling out behind her? And whom is she waiting for?
Congrats on your purchase! Where shall you hang this photograph?
I’m a studio photographer and don’t get to travel the world and see the exciting things you see. I’ve recently gone back to 35mm b&w film for personal work having spent past years with 4×5 and medium format cameras in that medium. Thank you for this post. Through you I get to see a world so inspirational and uplifting.
Hello from Russia)) I just want to say that this is a great post – so warm and inspiring.. and 50′s as well.. Many thanks for this kind of stories. And also I ‘d like to ask – I really miss about the opportunity to put a “Like” on your pictures and posts when I really LIKE it without any comments – have you ever thought about this “feature”? ))
i so, so agree with you regardnig this photo. nothing is more inspiring than images that don’t tell you the whole story, for one thing, and in this one, there are also quaint, everyday objects from another place (exotica) and something of a promise in the glance of the young man on the left. (it doesn’t matter – much – that he may not be looking at her so much as be lost in thought: that too holds promise)

Who was the curator? Do you know who put that exhibit together?
I’ll try to google it… whoever it was needs some credit- they did a beautiful job.
