I’m still not so sure about sandals/socks look. But I must admit – here, it looks great. but it is all about colour. Green plus red = brilliant.

well, girls (as in women, ladies) have been doing this for awhile… at least in NYC, but Miuccia Prada launched this strongly forward with last season’s collection (especially wrinkled and bunched stockings?!) and you saw a lot more of it this season, along with the leggings and footless tights that will be popping up everywhere. It isn’t always easy to pull it off, but I like it, one, because it is sometimes more comfortable, especially in transitional seasons, two, socks are often easier to wear than tights and, three, it is an easy way to mix it up a bit. So, I predict we’ll be seeing a lot more of this in these parts.

I think the very first time I saw this sock/sandals thing it was Dior runway. I think it was like 8 years ago. Maybe a bit more.It is very 40ish look. And I still don’t like it although sometimes it looks cute. On little girls mostly.

I adore the socks with sandals look. Excellent hip downtown look. Only if done with colored socks and shoes, of course. But the other girl with socks and shoes below does it far better than this one.

I’ve seen it a lot in fashion mags and I think that’s about the only place it really looks good. This seems to be a common theme for a number of fashion trends… only looks good on the runway/on models.

The colours really make it. It's certainly a statement. Maybe more Look at me than style.

I maintain ….. Socks with sandles is not just “not right” – it is very VERY wrong!
