I love all those styles with socks in the sandals, but my favourite one is the one in red! So beautiful!
February 25, 2013 at 6:15 am
hot if you can do it :)

Bottom centre for the win!

Yeah, love her too! Socks and sandals are never gonna be uncool.

This is great! I am thinking about this for a while now and I hope this spring I will finally try this on myself. Great inspiration as always.
February 21, 2013 at 4:18 pm
i think socks and sandals can look really quirky and cute, but I am far too scared to try it out myself. i especially like the photos with the wedges and the last photo on the right hand side.

Gorgeous! I’ve always loved this look. Especially on the lady in the red skirt and the one in the leopard coat.

Your pictures has such vibrant and beautiful colors. Do you look for the best possible lighting when you shoot or is it in the post processing? I’d love to hear your secret.
February 21, 2013 at 4:32 pm
I heart socks and sandals so much!!! The bizarre things is I can never seem to find the right socks. Great looks, great pics!
Adoro i sandali con i calzini ma è ancora troppo freddo per le mie gambette!
February 21, 2013 at 4:36 pm
Eh, not so much
February 21, 2013 at 4:39 pm
Top left is really the only one who pulled it off…maybe bottom right. I have worn knee socks with short dresses before, but with closed toed heels…hmmm, I may have to try this :)
February 21, 2013 at 4:40 pm
The woman in the third picture is so strong! Kisses from Italy! M.M.
February 21, 2013 at 4:41 pm
Not as jarring as I would’ve thought, but still not my fave.
February 21, 2013 at 4:45 pm
Many times they are great and even sexy but it is not a must combo I may say! Well spotted those ones though :)
February 21, 2013 at 4:46 pm
There are only a few looks in which I like it but most of the time I just don’t get it. On the first outfit it kind of fits the picture but the 4th photo is one big mystery to me…
THE STEL STYLE
it’s a beautiful style!!! love it!!
February 21, 2013 at 4:49 pm
Another classy and retro look…and the Oscar goes to the lady at the bottom centre!
If you are thinking about socks and sandals…
If you don’t already know the answer to that question, look at the two women in the photo in lower left hand corner…
February 21, 2013 at 6:38 pm
Agreed. If U still think socks with sandals look good look at the lower left photo. And avoid Southern CA and South TX.
February 22, 2013 at 10:19 am
I was thinking the same. There’s no comparison between the two women. The one on the right, which I’m sure is Giovanna Battaglia, with her Valentino’s studded shoes is on another level.
Socks with sandals are quite man repeller and not flattering at all.
February 22, 2013 at 3:41 pm
“Socks with sandals are quite man repeller”… Because women must dress themselves ONLY TO ATTRACT the opposite sex ??? Puh -leese.
May 17, 2013 at 9:05 am
When I wear sandals I always wear socks with them. Otherwise I get blisters.
If it repels men that’s all the more reason to wear them. I’m an aromantic asexual.
February 21, 2013 at 4:55 pm
no yes no
yes yes YES
February 21, 2013 at 4:57 pm
Wish I could pull this off!!!
February 21, 2013 at 5:06 pm
At beginning I didn’t like this way to wear socks, but now I think that is really nice!
February 21, 2013 at 5:11 pm
Love the red! When I lived in Albany, NY I always wore knitted wool socks with my Kork-Ease and walked easily above the snow!
john b pritchett
Love the lower right photo! Socks with these sandals-a definite yes. Socks with flip-flop sandals or Birkenstocks-no!
February 21, 2013 at 5:12 pm
I don’t care who does it, or how they do it, it all looks WRONG!!!
February 21, 2013 at 5:16 pm
I love this look, but I always feel like I should wear boots because in the summer it’s too hot for them so now is the time. Sandals are good without socks all summer long, but I still think the socks and sandals look is adorable and makes a statement!
coulda shoulda woulda
February 21, 2013 at 5:43 pm
no one – not even the sartorialist is gonna change my mind about socks and sandals.
I am not the bitchy, eye rolling type but this brings it out in me.
Even Garance could not pull this off.
February 21, 2013 at 5:51 pm
I always knew I was cool!
February 21, 2013 at 6:02 pm
I can never pull this off.
February 21, 2013 at 6:08 pm
woman on the top right looks so confident !
February 21, 2013 at 6:13 pm
Socks and Sandals are THE combination in my book! May they forever rule!!!!
February 21, 2013 at 6:24 pm
All I see is german tourists with beautiful faces.
February 21, 2013 at 6:26 pm
No. Just say NO.

February 21, 2013 at 6:40 pm
Love the look…I’ve noticed that a couple of designers are continuing the trend in their fall collections. I think it’s great..as are your photos!
February 21, 2013 at 6:53 pm
All these looks work better without the socks. Does not work in terms of good proportions and really looks absurd with platform sandals.
February 21, 2013 at 7:00 pm
February 21, 2013 at 7:06 pm
have never tried this trend but think it looks cool!
February 21, 2013 at 7:45 pm
i love the third woman so much…so simple yet so perfect
February 21, 2013 at 7:47 pm
Love the sock and sandals combination! Lovely!
February 21, 2013 at 7:50 pm
Lived thru this in the 80′s. I like it, tho I don’t want to. It kind of tones down the inherent sexiness that heels otherwise have, no?
February 21, 2013 at 8:31 pm
Oh my gosh! I wanna be that lady with all the tattoos!
February 21, 2013 at 8:38 pm
I’m not thinking about socks with sandals– which is a crying shame because my feet are pretty unattractive… still, no.
February 21, 2013 at 9:32 pm
I think you can either love or hate this look, and I love it! I think it looks really chic!
On a young woman this can look great….I especially liked the top center photo of the girl in the red skirt. On an old lady like me…no. I would look like entering my second childhood. Too bad. It looks comfortable.
February 22, 2013 at 4:56 am
Agree! It is only for the young. I would love to do it for comfort but would look like a crazy old woman.
February 21, 2013 at 9:49 pm
I’ve been wearing socks with my pumps and sandals for a while now. Not really for fashion – it’s just easier on my feet (comfort and warmth). : ) Of course, when doing this I ensured I looked fashionable. I hope.
February 21, 2013 at 9:53 pm
Love your gorgeous photos but this is one trend I can’t get behind.
February 22, 2013 at 1:14 am
Every single one of these looks is superb! Absolutely yes x
February 22, 2013 at 1:28 am
Terrible. Just terrible….
February 22, 2013 at 2:06 am
so chic, so clever, but you have to know how to mix it ! love it :)
February 22, 2013 at 4:08 am
Sometimes I wore it like that too but moste in pumps. Have a great day,
February 22, 2013 at 5:24 am
I love the socks in the sandals!! I wear it very often and with the right outfit looks great!!!

February 22, 2013 at 5:44 am
is a combination that can not stand
February 22, 2013 at 5:49 am
Love this look & BTW, Garance did pull it off!
February 22, 2013 at 5:51 am
I love how different can look an outfit if you add just an accent like socks…great pics!
February 22, 2013 at 5:59 am
It’s a classic although I prefere bare legs and sandals, they give you the feeling that summer is never gone away or that spring is around the corner :))
February 22, 2013 at 6:24 am
Love this trend. Was always a fan of wearing socks with pumps!
February 22, 2013 at 7:11 am
something really adorable!
February 22, 2013 at 7:24 am
February 22, 2013 at 7:35 am
I really like this combination but I always pair the socks and shoes wrongly or do it on a totally wrong outfit and it comes out horribly! Anyone has any tips?

February 22, 2013 at 2:01 pm
This is the typical trend that I like on others but can’t picture myself wearing them!
February 22, 2013 at 2:25 pm
I love all of the styles here. Simplicity at it’s best.
February 22, 2013 at 3:10 pm
Loving the look. Especially the one with sleeveless & tatts!
February 22, 2013 at 3:19 pm
This is the sort of look I’d love to try… but I always worry it would never suit me. Top middle looks great, especially.
February 22, 2013 at 6:15 pm
In reality how often do you see this look? I believe confidence is the key for these looks and age appropriate. Love the concept and wish i could carry it off !
February 27, 2013 at 6:09 pm
Always wanted to go in on this trend but I am always afraid of taking the risk.lol.I can see it goes perfectly with shorter hemlines!
March 1, 2013 at 1:21 pm
Me too. I have chickened out of wearing this several times. Maybe this summer?
March 1, 2013 at 1:20 pm
The first one I love. She looks so cozy and cute!
April 2, 2013 at 3:35 pm
I simply love these combinations!
June 1, 2013 at 9:12 am
Man, the first lady is sneaky! I don’t know how she’s so good at playing with her colours (especially the oranges). Her oranges are playing hide-and-seek. Amazing. Her socks and shoes, then the dress too… omnom.
April 13, 2014 at 10:43 am
As a guy I find it one of the sexiest statement a women can do. She’s sort of sharing something intimate, displaying stocking feet like that, wrapped in sandals, especially if with hosiery, love the sheer factor there….
but I wonder, where do these women find the courage to do it :) lol…but yeah, love it love it.

Always remember that in handling fire and safety devices, maintenance proves to be a key to achieve its usefulness. The buildings near the fire hydrants may qualify for the insurance discounts, because the fire fighters will be able to put off the fire in the insured property using the water from the fire hydrant easily.
