The coat as a stand-alone piece is great. The rest is all a bit too tribal for my liking. Interesting nevertheless.

i love the necklace :)
February 21, 2013 at 2:08 pm
Amazing style, love the fur detail and hat!
February 21, 2013 at 2:10 pm
Very ethnic look…he has a central asian flair a kind of east meets west…congratulations for his courage to pull this off….

I was going to say “hey there, indian!”. At first sight, I thought he was wearing camel shoes. But I really like the outfit!

That’s what I call fashion!
I don’t like the woman’s jumper, or what appears to be a woman’s jumper, worn over his pants.
February 21, 2013 at 2:14 pm
Such awesome jewelry around his neck! Great colors, and the fur trim is great!
February 21, 2013 at 2:18 pm
Oh wow, this is amazing.
February 21, 2013 at 2:23 pm
I love the necklace, it adds just the right amount of color.
February 21, 2013 at 2:28 pm
I love this. The silhouette, the colours and the accessories.
February 21, 2013 at 3:07 pm
Can’ t say better

I am not so sure about the furry/feathery thing but other than that, I think he looks grand :)
February 21, 2013 at 2:48 pm
The Gentleman Shepherd! What a novel idea.
February 21, 2013 at 2:51 pm
I don’t like the top, but I like bottom!
February 21, 2013 at 2:56 pm
Amazing! Love the necklace!
February 21, 2013 at 3:04 pm
The cut is so modern but the pieces are not from this time! It boggles the mind, but I appreciate the uniqueness!
February 21, 2013 at 3:12 pm
quite an outfit…shame he doesn’t look a little happier!
February 21, 2013 at 3:16 pm
It’s not that he looks bad, I am just not sure?
February 21, 2013 at 3:28 pm
love the accessories!
February 21, 2013 at 3:47 pm
The dress on this man : no.
On me : yes (I’ll also take the necklace.)
February 21, 2013 at 3:49 pm
i love you<3!

Propers for wardrobe confidence.

Love the statement
February 21, 2013 at 4:03 pm
Whoever made that coat is insane (in a good way)
February 21, 2013 at 4:06 pm
Like the boots. Can’t explain the rest.

Very unique and different. Bravo! Wonderful coat.
February 21, 2013 at 5:20 pm
Really unconventional, a mix of western style and some from african tribes.
February 21, 2013 at 6:32 pm
It’s not awesome, or amazing, or original or nice it just looks silly. He doesn’t carry it off at all, only someone of David Bowie’s calibre can do this.
February 24, 2013 at 1:55 pm
Trying too hard. Nice coat though. The dress (?) under the coat…..not so much.
February 21, 2013 at 7:12 pm
Call me old fashioned……. But is he really wearing a dress under the fur coat?
February 21, 2013 at 7:48 pm
Nice! Really nice!
February 21, 2013 at 9:21 pm
Well … it’s a style.
February 21, 2013 at 9:33 pm
This man has style, weather its mainstream or not.
February 21, 2013 at 9:43 pm
Exciting color for a shearling coat, especially with those boots. The fur trimmed piece is more of an accessory than a garment. Considering the rest of the outfit I remember
Coco Chanel’s motto ” Look in the mirror before you leave and remove one accessory.”
Or maybe two.
February 22, 2013 at 1:19 am
The LV bag unnecessarily feminizes it a little too much for my taste. So does the (fun?) fur trimming
February 22, 2013 at 1:21 am
He is certainly making a statement.
February 22, 2013 at 3:17 am
That would probably look awesome on a girl…
February 22, 2013 at 4:33 am
Love the colours! And the bag worn under the coat- not sure if it’s deliberate but I do this all the time (accidentally, mostly) and love the look of it peeping out here :)

February 22, 2013 at 4:49 am
I like the coat and his courage.Bravo!
February 22, 2013 at 6:13 am
He must have looked good in the Valentino exhibition ;)
February 22, 2013 at 6:58 am
I love it until the Louis bag.
February 22, 2013 at 7:56 am
So nice. A manly man in a womanized outfit.
February 22, 2013 at 7:58 am
This is my boyf! for anyone who has commented on the coat, thought it might be useful to know that it’s an old(ish) Loewe one that we found in brand-new condition on Portobello market!

Hey I know this guy it’s Le Ross
February 22, 2013 at 1:46 pm
Looks like he lost a bet and had to wear his girlfriends outfit.

I usually appreciate a bold look – and I love costume dressing… but this just isn’t working. It doesn’t even look like HE thinks it’s working!
February 22, 2013 at 7:44 pm
I love and would support anyone doing their thing. I don’t much like this particular thing, but that’s unimportant.
February 23, 2013 at 12:07 am
althought the color of the necklace goes well it feels sort of cheesy, the fake “tribal-”y thing.
February 23, 2013 at 8:57 pm
I’m really digging this look! Part vaquero, part guarani, with a hint of DDL in There will be blood… a modern take on 70s flair. Hard to pull off but he exudes both strength/manliness and enough of an easy-going vibe for it to not seem over the top or uncomfortable.
However, I have a feeling that once the coat is off, it just feels very hippyish (not that it’s a bad thing), notwithstanding the fact that we are in the dark about the fur-trimmed tunic’s arm length (batwings, long sleeve, short sleeve or sleeves à la The Flinstones?), so I guess all the ingredients have to be present for it to work as a look… in other words, that gorgeous luxurious coat really ties that outfit together.
Well done sir!
P.S.: that’s two gorgeous men’s shearling coats you’ve shared as of recently. You’re already halfway there for a “If you’re thinking about men’s shearling coats” entry.
The other one I’m referring to is the gorgeous emerald one featured here:
February 24, 2013 at 7:35 pm
I love the look, but I just really want to know what he’s listening to! This must have a good soundtrack. Maybe “I’m gonna pop some tags”?
February 25, 2013 at 2:07 pm
I’m ok with mixings, but you have to find at least a thin line to connect it all…otherwise it seems Carnival to me!
February 26, 2013 at 11:35 am
you got style, that’s what all the girls say

A very chic, very serious but nevertheless cuddly-looking bear. I’d borrow the proverbial leaf out of his personal style book.
