This look is quite utilitarian, yet the trendy camo coat and bag plus neon phone jacket tell à slightly different story, interesting.

The look is not very interesting or elegant. But the bag is cool – what kind of bag is that?

I don’t think a neon phone cover can save a very ordinary outfit. I’m surprised this made the blog!

Why should all camo be considered stylish or fashionable? I dont think so..

Some commenters are confusing elegant with dressy. An eye for detail will see the overall high quality of the outerwear; the hooded down jacket is cut perfectly to his torso, short at the waist, allowing for a layering piece –the camo shell–to minimize bulk. His cargo pants are cut to a flattering degree; the pockets are contoured to a well-proportioned shape. If someone has to spend their day out in the elements, this look is functionally elegant.

It may be well cut and fit him well but I’m not really sure what ‘s so special about this outfit.

Special in this case pertains to context and perspective: context–streetwear in winter…perspective–point of view of a street photographer.

Well, he certainly looks snug in there..

These kind of layered outfits always delight me. The blue puffy jacket with camo raincoat, while certainly providing warmth, also one-twos like a rugged, yet lovely, dance. My favorite is the tiny peek of pattern popping out underneath the blue. I’m a fan, although living in SoCal there’s no reason I’ll ever need to rock such a look.

I understand this is not a classic or chic ensemble, nonetheless it fits him well and it looks awesome. This just proves that between those moments of extra-chic dressing there are several other more informal and casual possibilities that can also convey somewhat of the same elegant spirit and suaveness that a tuxedo or even a suit might. In the end of the day, what matters, at least for me, is not necessarily to look like james bond all the time (or attempt to), but to dress in a way that can say as much about your style as possible. If the man in the picture has managed to achieve that without the aid of so often imitated quirks (made pervasive by and amongst the youngsters of the pitti uomo) and without a more formal attire that should count as credits and not as demerits.

Guys this look is just comfortable and warm, the trousers are great, the camouflage jacket and army shopper bag are really really awesome, why is the need to have that classic Milan look? all the time the same dandy photos?, this is fresh and new (and warm). Specially if you are ridding a bike in old Amsterdam or Milan. ;-).

So good not to see that over-polished Milan look – this man dressed for the weather. I like that. Pretty radical in a all that dip-dyed fur and clip-clop brogues….

Rugged. Fitted. Layered. Love this look. Understated but purposeful.
