Such a natural beauty, but her hairstyle takes away from that. It always makes me sad to see beautiful women with “statement” hair. She doesn’t need it, a simple pixie cut would be just as dramatic and still showcase her gorgeous bone structure and those mysteriously stunning eyes.
I understand what you mean, but I must say that I have to disagree with you on that one: her hair style is so well assumed that it feels like it’s clearly part of her personality. Without it she would be a very pretty woman, but there, we see her strong character and a true projection of what she is (in this present moment) in her appearance. That’s what style is made for. http://gare-a-gary.blogspot.fr/
Are you then saying, if you think the people are not pretty, it is ok for them to have, as you call it ‘statement’ hair? I think someone’s prettyness is the honesty and passion they put into something, that can be subtle or more vibrant. But surely everyone is making a statement about themselves, whether or not they dress to what is seen as ‘normal’ or not? Someone who dresses in jogging bottoms and a slouchy hoodie could be making the statement that they don’t care how they look, or that they are just very comfortable, or someone dressed very plain could be making the statement that they don’t know what their style is, or that they just like to blend in. Everyone makes a conscious or subconscious statement about how they dress, and we can’t really decide what that statement is. Anyway I think she looks very beautiful with that hair, i like the subtle variations of colour in it.
She doesn’t need it. She wants to have it. Which is what makes it so totally cool. She knows darn well she would get even MORE attention with just conventional hair. But she wants to show her stripes. I bet a big part of it is to weed out the people who DON’T like it. Kinda like “If they don’t get this, I don’t want anything to do with them anyhow”. More power to her!
Youth is the moment for experimentation and fun. While she may be aware that this hairstyle is perhaps not the most flattering one on her she just dont give a f*** …..great.
You guys are lovely! I’d love to take credit for this hair do but I’d just come from the Ashish Gupta show! It’s not normally quite so BIG!! Haha x harmony
I bet she gets people telling her that she would look even better with regular hair all the time. As uberpretty as she is, some people likely think she should “play it up”. Obviously, she looks perfect the way she is.
