This brings me back to the days when I would wear OshKosh overalls. I think it’s about time for a revival!

Don;t like the shoes..
Plus I don’t understand why she’s not freezing to death. This is a spring outfit while it’s just above zero degrees.

Overalls are not having a moment in London. Most of the photograph’s taken here make it look as though everyone is living in the 90′s, compared to those taken in Paris and Italy it’s embarrassing…
February 20, 2013 at 11:25 pm
LOL!!!! When I was in London I saw so much lilac hair, acidwashed jeans, pastel Doc Martens I thought I fell through a time warp. I liked it, myself. But this girl is doing it with excellent style. I can’t wait to find some overalls like this that actually fit rather then drooping.

Love her style!!
Very out of date style. Nor jeans neither that spandex-leather heavy metal jacket have place in todays world…
February 19, 2013 at 9:31 am
I wish they would have their moment here in Paris too, I love them!!
February 19, 2013 at 9:41 am
Very nice pic. Great day.
February 19, 2013 at 9:43 am
I like denim overalls!
February 19, 2013 at 9:47 am
Love the large overall and tiny jacket, great contrast!
February 19, 2013 at 9:54 am
Overall are cute on everyone but me. Great pic.
February 19, 2013 at 9:57 am
Wow, original style! Love her shoes!
February 19, 2013 at 10:13 am
This would be a great outfit with different shoes.
February 19, 2013 at 10:24 am
Great style! I want a piece of that.
February 19, 2013 at 10:25 am
Very interesting boyish style, the jacket is very cool-very versatile and will look great with this kind of jeans and pencil skirt!

Looks like this (put vaguely: roomy overalls on girls) always remind me of Bananarama’s “Cruel Summer” video, which is a good thing! Casual, chic, and eminently comfortable.
February 19, 2013 at 10:32 am
Cute definitely, but would make me feel like I should have pigtails too. Which I guess she added too.
February 19, 2013 at 10:35 am
Come on Eileen!
February 19, 2013 at 6:06 pm
Yes, Gisella! I loved that look. So refreshing and easy, too.

Oh my! That was close. I was just contemplating throwing out a pair of overalls today. I’ll hang on to them. Everything old is new again.

Nice. Overalls will never die. They might go away for a while, but they always come back.
February 19, 2013 at 11:21 am
finally, Ive been waiting for overalls to come back for years now.

Not for me… the other recent London pic was classy!
So original. Excellent piece.
February 19, 2013 at 11:36 am
In the UK overalls are called dungarees.
February 19, 2013 at 11:38 am
Love this shy and simple attitude !
February 19, 2013 at 11:44 am
Definitely unique… would look better with heels and lose hair. :) Otherwise, great look!

Nice leather jacket! Though I don’t like wide pants.

I could never wear but it doesn’t stop me loving that she has :)
February 19, 2013 at 12:30 pm
Nice shoes and jacket!

February 19, 2013 at 12:57 pm
The proportions here are key–the tiny jacket looks great with the fuller overalls, and the sneakers ground it all nicely.
February 19, 2013 at 1:17 pm
Interesting mix of a biker/ Rosie the Riveter chic. I like it.
February 19, 2013 at 1:27 pm
February 19, 2013 at 1:41 pm
love this kind of vintage outfit !!!
These overalls look great with the top part covered so it defeats the purpose…still like it though.
Agreed regarding the proportions – so key! She’s nailed it.

I agree with Une Chatte Grise, it’s all in the proportions and this young woman got it right. The little braids are a nice finishing touch.
February 19, 2013 at 2:33 pm
Oh pig tails and wide trousers, Little Dutch Girl!
February 19, 2013 at 3:07 pm
Exactly what I wore 20 years ago and it’s totally back. Only thing is it doesn’t look that cute on me anymore, but she rocks it!
February 19, 2013 at 6:07 pm
LOL! Eva, me too. I so loved that looked. She is just perfect.
February 19, 2013 at 6:04 pm
The only thing that bothers me is… why is so much fashion derivative? It always references itself. I don’t want to live in the 90s again! Nostalgia is cancer! It obscures the truth. It’s different to timelessness. Overalls are perhaps timeless, adidas too,,, but these elements together reek of nostagia. Vintage is great but only if it’s reinvented somehow, modernised. I mean, I like this girl, she looks fine, but its all the same… everyone is dressing like it’s the 90s. A few years ago it was the 80s, now the 90s.
February 19, 2013 at 6:05 pm
Utterly adorable. ADORABLE! Best part— her appearance looks natural, not contrived.
… and there everyone goes reminiscing about the 90s, which were not all good. I lived in “London and there was a lot of heroin about. And Buffalo boots. Stop already!
February 19, 2013 at 6:59 pm
I saw you click her,and was wondering how the shot will turn out…better than I imagined! Here is a picture of you clicking her:)

This outfit is cute. Denim overall plus black jacket equals great street style.
February 19, 2013 at 11:40 pm
I love when you take photos like this. No perfect makeup. Dirty shoes. She’s just being herself. Not one of these models that lives in Soho, that you caught on Lafayette when the light was hitting her just right, as we imagine it must do all the time. Those pictures are beautiful but they are intimidating and it becomes hard to go out and have confidence in who you are when clearly you’re not the person who throws things on without a second thought and have them turn out perfectly. She’s kind of awesome in her hesitation.
February 20, 2013 at 11:21 pm
She hardly looks hesitant to me. She looks like she is very aware of style and how she wants to look.
February 20, 2013 at 3:12 am
just like britney spears at the beginning!
February 20, 2013 at 5:43 am
Where do you find these people? I live in London and see beautifully dressed colourful interesting outfits every day, yet you choose bad examples to justify your negative attitude to London which is a great shame. It’s a wonderful city, please learn to love it
February 20, 2013 at 10:43 am
This outfit, althouh cute, needs something to jazz it up… A pair of Doc Martens shoes (works better with the leather jacket) and bandana wrapped as a bracelet.
February 20, 2013 at 11:02 am
awful. This gives me nightmares. EXACTLY what I hate.
London has SO much more to offer than Somerset House…..
February 20, 2013 at 11:29 am
I love the pigtails!
February 20, 2013 at 2:16 pm
Really street smart and the Pipi Longstocking vibee. I love her style and expression.
February 20, 2013 at 11:33 pm
The lipstick-only make-up look is so refreshing and gorgeous.
February 21, 2013 at 6:18 am
Such an original way to wear a overall! Inspirational! Love how she combined it with a leather jacket!
February 21, 2013 at 6:42 am
A cynic input: Beautiful, stunning face makes for acceptance for an otherwise tasteless 90′s reinterpretation.
