Overalls are not having a moment in London. Most of the photograph’s taken here make it look as though everyone is living in the 90′s, compared to those taken in Paris and Italy it’s embarrassing…
LOL!!!! When I was in London I saw so much lilac hair, acidwashed jeans, pastel Doc Martens I thought I fell through a time warp. I liked it, myself. But this girl is doing it with excellent style. I can’t wait to find some overalls like this that actually fit rather then drooping.
Very interesting boyish style, the jacket is very cool-very versatile and will look great with this kind of jeans and pencil skirt!

Looks like this (put vaguely: roomy overalls on girls) always remind me of Bananarama’s “Cruel Summer” video, which is a good thing! Casual, chic, and eminently comfortable.
The only thing that bothers me is… why is so much fashion derivative? It always references itself. I don’t want to live in the 90s again! Nostalgia is cancer! It obscures the truth. It’s different to timelessness. Overalls are perhaps timeless, adidas too,,, but these elements together reek of nostagia. Vintage is great but only if it’s reinvented somehow, modernised. I mean, I like this girl, she looks fine, but its all the same… everyone is dressing like it’s the 90s. A few years ago it was the 80s, now the 90s.
… and there everyone goes reminiscing about the 90s, which were not all good. I lived in “London and there was a lot of heroin about. And Buffalo boots. Stop already!

I love when you take photos like this. No perfect makeup. Dirty shoes. She’s just being herself. Not one of these models that lives in Soho, that you caught on Lafayette when the light was hitting her just right, as we imagine it must do all the time. Those pictures are beautiful but they are intimidating and it becomes hard to go out and have confidence in who you are when clearly you’re not the person who throws things on without a second thought and have them turn out perfectly. She’s kind of awesome in her hesitation.
Where do you find these people? I live in London and see beautifully dressed colourful interesting outfits every day, yet you choose bad examples to justify your negative attitude to London which is a great shame. It’s a wonderful city, please learn to love it
This outfit, althouh cute, needs something to jazz it up… A pair of Doc Martens shoes (works better with the leather jacket) and bandana wrapped as a bracelet.

Not one of these models that lives in Soho, that you caught on Lafayette when the light was hitting her just right, as we imagine it must do all the time. A cynic input: Beautiful, stunning face makes for acceptance for an otherwise tasteless 90′s reinterpretation.
