Absolutely amazing. I’ve loved a lot of the collections this year, but this is hands down my favorite. The shapes, patterns, colors are all beyond perfect.

Divine! Love the simple elegance. I’ll pass on the topless high waisted booty shorts look however.

Homage to Edie Sedgwick…

Oh my GOD! I love this “moonlight” series … especially the first shot. I mean, the outfit is to die for. And this model’s face, and edgy haircut that perfectly offsets her strong jaw line – wow. Fierce.

The photography, clothes, the legs, the moon…the dog in me wants to howl!

Coats were great, not sure about the PJ inspired clothing? Hear he came out in PJ’s as well….I really like your black and white shots they support the mood he was trying to portray initially in his show…thank you!
February 15, 2013 at 10:15 am
Love these pictures. I can not imagine how it must have felt to see it live.
February 15, 2013 at 10:24 am
Love the cloths.
February 15, 2013 at 10:40 am
The topless model kind of bugs me. Models not wearing bras under not-so-opaque clothing doesn’t even really bug me, but she looks like she’s doing some awful walk of shame. She has to keep her hand over her boobs the entire time? Maybe it’s my puritan coming out, but I feel like at best it’s just kind of off-putting, and at worst it’s asking more of that model than should have been asked. That being said, I generally do really like Marc Jacobs.
February 17, 2013 at 5:00 am
Agree totally. All the other pix are fine and I’m experiencing a huge nostalgia rush for my old 1980s hair and makeup here, but the semi-nude one leaves a sour taste in my mouth. When it doesn’t work in a professional still photo, what must it have looked like in the flesh?
February 15, 2013 at 10:53 am
Wow, stunning!!! This is one of my favorite posts!!!
February 15, 2013 at 11:05 am
The black and white photography makes the show even more glamorous.
February 15, 2013 at 11:26 am
The heels do a particularly good job.
February 18, 2013 at 1:11 pm
Of looking like stumpy torture chambers. Yes.

I agree! Have been obsessing over the hair since I saw these photos.

Amazing collection and photos!
February 15, 2013 at 5:45 pm
I love this collection, so wearable, except for the topless number, but then, I don’t live in France.
February 15, 2013 at 7:57 pm
Boo if those are real furs.
February 15, 2013 at 8:09 pm
Girl with dragon tattoo grown up
February 15, 2013 at 8:41 pm
The girls all look like like early nineties Winona Ryder.
February 15, 2013 at 9:23 pm
The first girl looks identical to Winona Ryder.
February 15, 2013 at 10:26 pm
Am I the only one who sees the huge Liza Minnelli influence in this show. I’m surprised no one else mentioned that. These all look like modernized versions of (Halston) things she wore during the Cabaret/Liza with a Z period.
February 19, 2013 at 4:36 am
exactly what I thought when I saw
February 19, 2013 at 12:52 pm
You’re absolutely right. Love the first and third outfit.
February 16, 2013 at 6:21 pm
These photos are amazing! Thank you

February 17, 2013 at 6:35 am
These shots are gorgeous!
February 18, 2013 at 1:10 pm
The shoes look silly. They are so high arched that you can tell the girls are bending their knees to walk. They just look kind of foolish. Everything else loks OK. The photos are the real cool thing here.
February 19, 2013 at 4:35 am
Winona Ryder, Liza Minnelli.
February 19, 2013 at 1:34 pm
Oh Marc, still dressing Wynona Rider, I see.
February 19, 2013 at 9:20 pm
I remember when Marc was doing those bubble sweaters back in the late 80s…girls were dying for them. He then had his original label for awhile which not a lot of people remember and it never quite worked…the collections were full of colorful kitschy Americana and it was not ‘chic’ at all- whimsical would be a generous way of describing it (a slip dress with Freud’s profile printed on it…a Freudian-slip dress, get it?). He lost his first backers and disappeared for a few years. Then, quite suddenly, he came back in the early 90s with a stark, minimalist collection of very expensive, utterly restrained clothes made in Italy that knocked everyone on their ear…from there he has never had any long-lasting missteps. I give him kudos for managing to stay so important for so long. He’s still cute too.
February 19, 2013 at 10:39 pm
The photography is amazing. I just don’t get fashion with no bottoms. Maybe that’s because I hate my legs!
February 20, 2013 at 4:03 am
one of the best shows!
February 21, 2013 at 4:36 pm
Perhaps I’m crazy, but is there an abundance of leg hair in these pictures? I generally love black and white, but maybe here – combined with the moon lighting – it’s created the illusion of leg hair? Or did Jacobs have these poor girls walk topless down the runway AND grow out their leg hair for 6 weeks before the show…?
February 22, 2013 at 10:39 am
All those furs hanging from model’s arms and shoulders are painful to watch. I just take a quick look at the collection. The shoes look very painful to wear. Love the moon.
February 27, 2013 at 10:41 am
They look like Lizas Minnellis. Love it!
