    Thank you so much.
These were really delightful to watch.
I loved hearing his advice on the day to day shooting… his thinking behind getting out there even if you don’t feel it… the surgeon analogy to not dwelling on something missed….
He really had the breadth of experience and expertise to comment so greatly on these subjects. Great questions, great solid answers that reminded me about the basics of working at something and not getting caught up in the perfectionistic ideals that can sabotage our minds. You know? Great. Thanks!

so moving to hear iconic photographers talking so positively about “non-elite” (ie “poor”) photographers, who are documenting and sharing their stories… it means so much. that attitude is why you are such great photographers, that is how you see the world. and oooo, mccurry’s saying that photography is a kind of failure, but not to give up– when trying to capture moments in this amazing world, it’s easy to get discouraged! thanks so much for this video series, scott. <3

Very inspiring interview! I loved his “prime the pump” tip. I find this true if I’m designing (get the ugly boring images out of the brain and then interesting things start to show up on the paper). I’d never thought of this in terms of photography.

I feel less depressed about my last photo-fail. Thank you for doing the interview!

I think what he has to say about being positive, beginning again each day, speaks to all of us, not just photographers. A wonderful interview.

His advice was just so good no matter what it is that you’re doing. More so if you’re an artist maybe because there’s so much more soul searching then. And he appears to be such a lovely gentleman.

Thank you for the interview Scott.
