sar·to·ri·al (sär-tôr-l, -tr-)
adj.
Of or relating to a tailor, tailoring, or tailored clothing:
Sorry can’t really make any sartorial judgment as one can not really see anything. Are we taking fashion here or judging a good portrait. 2 Very different things. I came for fashion
I love the tie, it’s really cool; the shirt is ok but I don’t like the collar (botton down forever!); the Barbour jacket is a true casual classic but it has nothing to do with the rest; greased hair in 2013 are so pathetic; last but not least, I spread a merciful veil over the anachronistic macho expression, ka boom!
Other accessories this gentleman should consider:
A Land Rover Defender 110 cdi
A pair of over and under single trigger James Purdey & Sons 12 bore shotguns.
An English Springer Spaniel.
An estate in Scotland.
Hope that helps!
Ignore all the negativity here, you are a photographer who takes photos of fashion, you can’t have one without the other. Great photo. He’s got really sharp features, very handsome.
This is rare indeed: a Tattersall check shirt with an aggressive cutaway collar. It shouldn’t work — and yet, there it is, coupled with a tartan wool tie, framed by a wax cotton jacket. Rare and just great.
I saw this Polo tie on sale last week. I chose another Polo instead. This makes me rethink that decision. I’m going back to the store today…hope it’s still there!

Alluring tie, but I would choose another jacket. Maybe one made of tweed.

Strong but colorful. Not a bad combination, especially for a man.

The whole gentrified English country thing is always classic. I especially like a good Barbour.

Nope, not British…just a very sharp man who happens to be the Head of Men’s Design at Polo.

If only the majority of British gents still dressed like that; unfortunately pride in what we wear has yet to be revived in the UK, US etc.
I love the collar shape, making a fairly conventional choice of shirt and tie design something quite special.

Love the tie and shirt combo but am a fan of longer collars which hide the tie, except for the knot, and upper button.

I quite disagree. This pic is a great argument for the spread collar. Button-down collars were, are and will forever be for nerds!
