This is so good! To be able to sit down with mr McCurry and get hands on advice must have been a great experience. He is a master of light and I can´t wait for the next episode. You have taken your blog to the next level, Mr Schuman.
As someone who has interviewed a lot of people who are the best in their fields – including artists – I know how difficult it can be. I admire the way you were able to get him to home in on one little nugget while giving us a taste of his work within the kind of bite-sized nugget that is just right for your blog.
Thank you! He is a very inspiring professional and is great to have the opportunity to hear him talking about his job. We will be looking forward to the next interview
Oh, two of my favorite photographers, together! It was fun to find this via the link on Mr. McCurry’s blog, even before my regular visit over here. Full of beauty, and very satisfying.
Awesome! Thank you Scott for this! Always wanted to hear your and especially his take on photography, you rarely talk about your work from a photographers point of view!
Have always admired his priorities in subject shooting. I would assume he is a beautiful human being……. and working to show us the beauty of the world.
Your questions were perfect, Scott. DO NOT linger for Part 2, please.
scott, thanks so much for being such a resource for photography… so much inspiration and helpful advice in this video. looking forward to part 2! his photos transported us to another world.
Thanks for this interview. Two wonderful portrait photographers discussing their art and craft, especially for a keen amateur like me, is a unique learning opportunity. Please, do post other parts of this interview, and I state it in plural: don’t be shy with timing, as someone said before this is way, way short.
Love Steve McCurry, and you!!!! Awesome interview, great picture references; especially the one of the ladies in pink working. This video is a real treat!!
That was really interesting, thank you. It’s such a pleasure watching someone get complimented this way. I’m sure your interview meant a lot to Mr. McCurry.
I really like this interview, the questions are relevant. When you have such a good photographer, you have to ask interesting questions…but I think the song is too “loud”, difficult to hear the answer sometimes ;-)
