Always a fan of the orange. And I’m likin this pairing with the rough mustard coloured jacket. Beautiful center framing too, with the onlookers on either side.

Not digging this one as much… :(
February 12, 2013 at 9:24 am
She would look much better without a hat but still very nice outfit, great color combination!!!

Agreed. The first thing I thought when I saw this image was Mountie.

She looks like she just rode in off the Argentine pampas!
Being Canadian, I can’t help but think she looks like a chic Mountie ;) Great photo!

This wouldn’t be my personal style, but I do love the layering of the coats! It’s a whole new spin on winter layers.
February 12, 2013 at 10:58 am
Shallow DOF can’t hide the nonsense in the background- How is it possible to make pictures so serene and elegant when you’re probably surrounded by feral hyena bloggers and fashion week dum dums?

Is it the Canadian Mountie who always gets her man? Cute sweater.
February 12, 2013 at 11:02 am
Nice photo. I like the guy behind her to the right with the yellow top and hat – he’s kind of complimenting her.
February 12, 2013 at 11:10 am
Great hat and gloves!

Quite a unique look. Like the colors ..especially in this time of the year!
Only dislike of this photo is the people on the background. Really distracting.

Her outfit reminds me of how people from the mountains of Perú and Mongolia dress.
I like it :)
February 12, 2013 at 11:59 am
it’s photo punny! scroll down and see that her look is a multi colored iteration of the runway look. both are a bit OTT for me but given that she’s standing in freezing weather and is properly outfitted…go for it!
February 12, 2013 at 12:02 pm
I like color so it is nice but not for me all that things. Have a great day.
February 12, 2013 at 12:07 pm
damn crazy but still sooo coooool !!!!
February 12, 2013 at 12:16 pm
Being Canadian, I was struck by the hat and the coat. She looks like a Mountie!
February 12, 2013 at 12:20 pm
…can’t believe they are shooting a new version of sound of music instead of Salzburg it will be at global NYC???
February 12, 2013 at 12:42 pm
I love the hat, but it doesn’t seem to fit quite right and is perched a bit awkwardly on her head. Still, love the colors and layers!

This woman ( in my opinion ) is one of the best dressers you’ve ever photographed!

The long-lost wife of Juan Valdez …. I’m honestly expecting the donkey to enter the shot at any second.
Oh come on!! Surely I’m not the only one who thought this!
(As a Canadian, I’m enjoying the Mountie references.)
February 12, 2013 at 2:28 pm
Her hat is perfect!
February 12, 2013 at 3:15 pm
She looks like a Canadian Mountie, cute
February 12, 2013 at 3:33 pm
I love the colors and her hint of a smile. She looks great. She looks like she’s ready to go hiking in the Andes.
February 12, 2013 at 5:49 pm
That’s how every Canadian dresses in NYC. No one notices it after awhile.
February 12, 2013 at 9:27 pm
Around here, that’s how the local cops dress. Some of the time, anyway. Really!

She is so interesting to look at! Might not be the most fashion conscious but there’s something about her…
February 14, 2013 at 12:04 pm
She looks nice but not really feeling The Urban Sombrero

OMFG, you can not be serious!
I believe that variety is the spice of life but in this case it’s a bit too much …
February 18, 2013 at 7:39 pm
I like two guys behind her :-) they seem to look very cool !
February 20, 2013 at 9:53 pm
This look is like a throwback to Malcolm Mclaren’s early 80s Buffalo Gals. Probably too ahead of trends for most fashionista types then and now….but very cool nonetheless!
February 21, 2013 at 3:03 pm
I wish the photographer on the right in the background had been photographed. Walking past on my way to work his outfit caught my eye out of everyone – wide brim felt hat, rain boots with patterned chinos tucked in, waxed canvas jacket – very English countryside.

as a canadian i would call this “urban mountie”
