Although they typically have a very intense beautiful look about them, this full stride shot is particularly striking. Just look at their eyes. Oh yes, the sweater is awesome.

he looks so intense!

Bahhhh!!! I remember them! Perhaps 2 years ago now..! She had on this amazing blue/orange tie dye maxi dress and a long brown and cream print coat! I remember being so captivated by her look and expression- I even showed my mom the photo and she said “I could see you in that- that’s a very Mekaila” : ) He was wearing a dope stripe sweater and a beanie! What a beautiful couple- just amazing shot. XO blessingsforever.

Nothing says confidence like bright green crushed velvet pants.

They’re not stopping for no one.
February 11, 2013 at 11:28 am
love this shot. i think it would be interesting to do a study of movement in fabric… as in, how people walk and how the clothing moves with them.
February 11, 2013 at 11:30 am
does not look like snow storm, but really cold!
Cheers from winterwonder-switzerland

Powerful shot. We’ve seen this couple a few times already and they never cease to amaze me. Great matching style and purpose.
February 11, 2013 at 12:23 pm
That’s the most striking stuff I’ve seen in ages. Wow, well shot.

I’m impressed and amazed how great ordinary people look! What’s the secret? How is your approach?
February 11, 2013 at 1:02 pm
Try not to be ordinary – the rest will follow.

February 11, 2013 at 12:41 pm
They’re a striking couple… and I love her look! It’s a fabulous cold-weather ensemble of warm & cozy textures that still looks cool.
February 11, 2013 at 12:47 pm
both so fierce!! this inspires me to go ahead & wear my super weird sweaters before it gets warm. THANK YOU, Sartorialist!
February 11, 2013 at 12:55 pm
Agree with all of the above…what’s more, seeing all the photos of the fashion pack outside the shows time and again, these two always look like they own the clothes, as in, these are their clothes, their way…the personality, creativity, mood, time and travel and all the elements of lives lived come in to it.
I admire that!
So, who are they? Can any reader tell me more about these two? Where they are from and what they do?
February 11, 2013 at 12:59 pm
PRETTY COOL THE CONTRAST BETWEEN THE GIRL DRESS UP WITH WOOL CLOTHES WITH HER WARM AND COMFY LOOK AND THE GUY, MORE DARK LOOKIN, WITH BLACK LEATHER JACKET.

February 11, 2013 at 6:05 pm
Dominic Haydn Rawle and Ursina Gysi!!!! The coolest couple in fashion!!!
February 11, 2013 at 7:12 pm
Definitely have seen Dominic before. What does he do? Is he working in Paris?
February 11, 2013 at 9:27 pm
LOL…I don’t know, I’m just a little boy from Costa Rica, but I have seen some of his work on his web page: http://www.dominichaydnrawle.com, check it out you, too!
February 12, 2013 at 11:12 am
Dominic always looks like an Eastern Blok hitman (which is not to say its not a good look) and this jacket looks like it might well conceal the tools of his trade!
February 11, 2013 at 6:12 pm
Love that velvet she is wearing! Smart move for the cold weather!
February 11, 2013 at 11:58 pm
I’m always struck by how Ursina Gysi manages to carry off these visually complex outfits without looking the least bit overdone. Nearly every time I see a new image of her is something of an aha moment for me in the area of personal style! I know she wears a lot of designer clothing, but I never feel drawn to simply what she is wearing, rather her in the clothes.
Beautiful shot, as always.

Just clicked on this picture whilst the “Inception” film score is playing in the background. The music really adds to the mood of this dynamic photograph!
February 12, 2013 at 5:43 am
Reminds me of mid-90s Katherine Hamnett or Red Or Dead club culture style..
February 12, 2013 at 9:02 am
Omg, I think you just gave me one of my favourite shots from you!
February 12, 2013 at 10:59 pm
I’ve wondered who these two were for so long, and now I know, the mystery has vanished. How Internet.
February 14, 2013 at 6:11 am
Such a cool couple.
February 22, 2013 at 11:21 pm
Who are those guys? How many times Scott took a picture of them?
