Scott I just have to say that while I have loved ‘If You’re Thinking About’ since you introduced it, this format is waaaayyyy way way better. gives us a better look at each image (obviously!). thanks for being amazing! :) Bree
I used to have a pair of women’s Carhartt corduroys in that perfect Carhartt brown. They were the best cords I’ve ever owned. I wore them til they died. They had the best cut. So flattering. Completely sexy!
I left a comment a while ago about how I disliked the “If you’re thinking about” section because it detracted from the aesthetic of the site. A chopped up collage did not mesh with the fluid viewing of such brilliant portraits… The concept was good but the execution needed a tune up…
and le viola! A new click on the arrows format! I undoubtedly had no problem with seeing how several people wore a thematic style element. Kudos on the new format. It is most excellent.
my first girl crush was wearing men’s carhartt jeans she pegged into skinnies, carried a leatherman multi tool and hitchhiked by herself all over the country. these girls don’t look quite as badass but i also don’t know them personally so i guess i can’t really say :) the carhartt hooded jacket is where it’s at.
A toque does not a Carhartt make? I was so hoping for a photo of women wearing true work pants but instead we have the equivalent of someone with a mercedes keychain. I say this in jest. I come here everyday to see what is happening elsewhere in the world. Love your site even if the class/label appropriation totally misses the mark but then again, maybe that is the point.
Beanie, hair, shirt, sweater, super cute face… simply perfect. But why did she have to wear that nasty black skirt and those boots? It looks like her bottom half was photoshopped in, cropped from a picture of some weird goth chick.
to me this is so funny. I heard about this idea of urban carhartt but couldn’t find much online from them about it. where I live the only people wearing carhartt’s are rednecks and country boys working outdoors in the winter. it’s still ‘cool’ to have a carhartt jacket here, but they’re are sold in farm equipment stores and advertised for utility and keeping warm (and they are warm as hell, i don’t have one but my brothers do and it would be nice to have one and not layer so much, but they are expensive). I’ve never seen anyone wearing urban-brand carhartt around here.
