Beautiful tomboy-chic. All that is missing is the grazed knee.
February 8, 2013 at 4:07 pm
I had not given any particular thought to girls in carharrt. seeing this, i may have to reconsider what i consider.
Yes, this pic is cool. But if you were surrounded by The Smurfs like me in France, it would not be so tempting i guess…
February 9, 2013 at 11:32 am
“The Smurfs”….!! I so hear you , sigh.
February 8, 2013 at 4:10 pm
The first photo is so beautiful!
February 8, 2013 at 4:17 pm
Who would have thought that Carhart accessories would look cool?
February 8, 2013 at 4:21 pm
More impressive if they were female construction workers…
February 8, 2013 at 7:15 pm

Scott I just have to say that while I have loved ‘If You’re Thinking About’ since you introduced it, this format is waaaayyyy way way better. gives us a better look at each image (obviously!). thanks for being amazing! :) Bree

I’m totally agree with Bree.
I prefer this format.

I used to have a pair of women’s Carhartt corduroys in that perfect Carhartt brown. They were the best cords I’ve ever owned. I wore them til they died. They had the best cut. So flattering. Completely sexy!
February 8, 2013 at 4:53 pm
She is beautiful!!
Love her style!
February 8, 2013 at 4:55 pm
Carhartt has become so cool – it’s like what happened? I’m into it though!
February 8, 2013 at 5:01 pm
Love the beanies. The look with the ‘wasted’ beanie is so cool. :)
February 8, 2013 at 5:05 pm
Helps that she’s such a pretty girl
February 8, 2013 at 5:11 pm

February 8, 2013 at 6:00 pm
Did you tell her to push her sock down?
February 8, 2013 at 6:06 pm
Well I do love to know I’m not alone, these are clearly sensible women. It is COLD here in London, so Carhartt is the thing to wear (as indeed it always was).. see here:

February 8, 2013 at 7:56 pm
Lovin’ the sly look…matches the attitude of the outfit perfectly –
February 8, 2013 at 8:09 pm
PERSONALLY, I prefer Carhartt to Obey (The Obey beanie girl is so pretty that it don’t matter what she’s wearing anyway)
February 8, 2013 at 8:14 pm
I left a comment a while ago about how I disliked the “If you’re thinking about” section because it detracted from the aesthetic of the site. A chopped up collage did not mesh with the fluid viewing of such brilliant portraits… The concept was good but the execution needed a tune up…
and le viola! A new click on the arrows format! I undoubtedly had no problem with seeing how several people wore a thematic style element. Kudos on the new format. It is most excellent.
February 8, 2013 at 8:16 pm
A “tomboy” is the future look for strong woman, and strong woman is the future. There is no turning back in time.
February 8, 2013 at 8:23 pm
Love Carhartt beanies!
February 8, 2013 at 9:59 pm
my first girl crush was wearing men’s carhartt jeans she pegged into skinnies, carried a leatherman multi tool and hitchhiked by herself all over the country. these girls don’t look quite as badass but i also don’t know them personally so i guess i can’t really say :) the carhartt hooded jacket is where it’s at.
February 8, 2013 at 11:59 pm
A toque does not a Carhartt make? I was so hoping for a photo of women wearing true work pants but instead we have the equivalent of someone with a mercedes keychain. I say this in jest. I come here everyday to see what is happening elsewhere in the world. Love your site even if the class/label appropriation totally misses the mark but then again, maybe that is the point.
February 10, 2013 at 11:24 pm
ugh, agree! carhartt is about form AND function. Use it for what it’s made for!
February 9, 2013 at 3:01 am
She is a very pretty girl, but too young for me …
I love the way she wear the beenie.
Great shot, as usual…
February 9, 2013 at 3:25 am
love the way she poses
February 9, 2013 at 4:10 am
hm, they all look great in beanies – most people really don’t – including me! Great photos!
February 9, 2013 at 10:10 am
Girl No. 1 is gorgeous, what a face.
February 9, 2013 at 11:10 am
My husband is crazy for Carhart, maybe i need to borrow his!
February 9, 2013 at 11:40 am
I waited for this ♥
February 10, 2013 at 3:25 pm
You said ‘girls’. I think you mean ‘women’.
February 11, 2013 at 9:30 am
She’s extremely pretty…if im not mistaken she won the last series of Britains Next Top Model. Tiffany from Malta.
February 11, 2013 at 12:38 pm
My God! I HAVE been thinking about Girls in Carhartt for the past couple of months! Thank-you for this one.
February 11, 2013 at 3:22 pm
Beanie, hair, shirt, sweater, super cute face… simply perfect. But why did she have to wear that nasty black skirt and those boots? It looks like her bottom half was photoshopped in, cropped from a picture of some weird goth chick.
February 19, 2013 at 4:53 am
to me this is so funny. I heard about this idea of urban carhartt but couldn’t find much online from them about it. where I live the only people wearing carhartt’s are rednecks and country boys working outdoors in the winter. it’s still ‘cool’ to have a carhartt jacket here, but they’re are sold in farm equipment stores and advertised for utility and keeping warm (and they are warm as hell, i don’t have one but my brothers do and it would be nice to have one and not layer so much, but they are expensive). I’ve never seen anyone wearing urban-brand carhartt around here.
February 26, 2013 at 2:20 pm
She looks good (apparently eating a packed lunch while sitting on a small stoop), but the hat is inconsequential.
