The form and fit of both coats are excellent. But what I’m really drawn to is how white (#2) is able to keep his shoes. That is impressive. http://www.MrEssentialist.com
@Haruka: for white shoes, use cream instead of polish to cover scuffs. For sturdy white fabrics, they are easy to clean because you can use a solution of bleach and dab onto any spots, rinse and wash immediately.
Love it that everyone is revealing their secrets for keeping white shoes gleaming – I will definitely consider white shoes now! Love the very classic profile of the first but the coat of the second and his entire look is way more exciting.
I find the image interesting because he looks so cool and collected, though the left hand seems to be clutching something… wallet or cell phone (perhaps a call coming in)?
I remember someone in Fashion talking about trends for winter 2012/13 and she was so happy camel would be over and so on. Camel is a classic dating back 100 years or more. I am glad it will never go out of Style!
So glad to see this style come back… my mom has a camel coat that’s been in the closet for years, she hasn’t worn it since I was a young teen… I would knick it from her but she wears a much larger size than me. I’ll definitely buy one to keep in my closet as a staple from now on.
Both looks are great in different ways : dressed and casual.
These classic looks will never go out of style (I hope !)
Great leather shoes on 1st picture.
Haven’t made the investment in a camel coat yet – but have a great cashmere knit scarf that I throw on with just about any jacket…nice touch of a classic.
Camel coats = timeless style. They will always be in style and even Fashion, gets jealous of Style and has to borrow the camel coat from Style :) http://www.journal.stylealphabet.com
Oooh white shoes… I always think they make my feet look huge, like I’m wearing a couple of boats. And that I should be playing some kind of sport. Am I alone in this?
Sometimes, it is nice that someone such as him, jump starts a new composition that we may have just thought: “Oh, why didn’t I think of that combination? I think he is wearing last season’s Maison Martin Margiela camel coat; low white leather sneakers from Common Projects. Navy trousers can be say: Incotex or Margaret Howell. Admittedly, it’s always difficult to get a good camel coat, and in the right camel colourway.
I prefer #1, that guy looks cool. Why it works so perfect?
Interesting colour combination, classy slim coat, trendy slim jeans and like often, the shoes makes the outfit. Don’t like the cigarette.

YES! Always camel coats! One of the most classic elements you could have in your wardrobe. Still eagerly waiting to have the 101801 from Max Mara.
Somehow, I prefer Garance’s camel coat over this shape.

A classic item; the camel overcoat!
The pictures show how good the colour matches with grey..
However, camel is great with blue as well; team it up with either a light blue oxford shirt or a navy blue suit!
