The form and fit of both coats are excellent. But what I’m really drawn to is how white (#2) is able to keep his shoes. That is impressive.
February 8, 2013 at 2:16 pm
He probably bleaches them nightly! :) White is always dreadful for me… :) Keeping it clean is a full time job!
February 8, 2013 at 2:37 pm
i don’t do white :)
February 8, 2013 at 2:20 pm
He might have just bought them :)
The best feeling in the world for white shoes
February 8, 2013 at 2:54 pm
they could be new! And mr.clean magic erasers work wonders! I love both of those camel coats!
February 8, 2013 at 3:19 pm
He must have just bought those sneakers.
@Haruka: for white shoes, use cream instead of polish to cover scuffs. For sturdy white fabrics, they are easy to clean because you can use a solution of bleach and dab onto any spots, rinse and wash immediately.

Love it that everyone is revealing their secrets for keeping white shoes gleaming – I will definitely consider white shoes now! Love the very classic profile of the first but the coat of the second and his entire look is way more exciting.

The first man looks so relaxed !
February 8, 2013 at 8:18 pm
I find the image interesting because he looks so cool and collected, though the left hand seems to be clutching something… wallet or cell phone (perhaps a call coming in)?
February 10, 2013 at 9:00 am
Or maybe a lighter for his cigarette ?
February 8, 2013 at 1:09 pm
YES! Always camel coats! One of the most classic elements you could have in your wardrobe. Still eagerly waiting to have the 101801 from Max Mara.
Somehow, I prefer Garance’s camel coat over this shape.

I remember someone in Fashion talking about trends for winter 2012/13 and she was so happy camel would be over and so on. Camel is a classic dating back 100 years or more. I am glad it will never go out of Style!

So glad to see this style come back… my mom has a camel coat that’s been in the closet for years, she hasn’t worn it since I was a young teen… I would knick it from her but she wears a much larger size than me. I’ll definitely buy one to keep in my closet as a staple from now on.

What transgression did the camel overcoat in the second picture commit to deserve such a severe dress-down?
February 8, 2013 at 4:29 pm
Love the camel, but just looking at those white shoes gave me a scuff induced panic attack.
February 8, 2013 at 5:04 pm
WHO is this angel in #1?

Haven’t made the investment in a camel coat yet – but have a great cashmere knit scarf that I throw on with just about any jacket…nice touch of a classic.

I love how soft and minimal they can appear without totally over powering the look.

Camel coats = timeless style. They will always be in style and even Fashion, gets jealous of Style and has to borrow the camel coat from Style :)
February 9, 2013 at 7:19 am
Oooh white shoes… I always think they make my feet look huge, like I’m wearing a couple of boats. And that I should be playing some kind of sport. Am I alone in this?
February 9, 2013 at 7:27 am
I’m looking at that scooter with the two front wheels…
February 9, 2013 at 7:56 am
The camel coat is always perfect! Like the second one better!

February 9, 2013 at 4:26 pm
Bottom guy is smashing it!! Toughs trous are heart breaking. Complemented with the common project sneaks I believe?
February 9, 2013 at 4:56 pm
A classic item; the camel overcoat!
The pictures show how good the colour matches with grey..
However, camel is great with blue as well; team it up with either a light blue oxford shirt or a navy blue suit!

Outstanding. Outstanding. All the way down to the perfect sneakers. Outstanding.

I want to see more of this first guy
February 10, 2013 at 1:24 am
Sometimes, it is nice that someone such as him, jump starts a new composition that we may have just thought: “Oh, why didn’t I think of that combination? I think he is wearing last season’s Maison Martin Margiela camel coat; low white leather sneakers from Common Projects. Navy trousers can be say: Incotex or Margaret Howell. Admittedly, it’s always difficult to get a good camel coat, and in the right camel colourway.

I prefer #1, that guy looks cool. Why it works so perfect?
Interesting colour combination, classy slim coat, trendy slim jeans and like often, the shoes makes the outfit. Don’t like the cigarette.
