Yeah… definitely looooving everything about the second look, the boots, the LV bag, the tie nec blouse, the knot in her belt…even her attitude. Yes, I think I just convinced myself to riff it off!
I agree…I am also a petite female, like some of the subjects in your photos…cuffed jeans make me look like I am compensating for being to lazy to get my over lengthened jeans hemmed.
But the girls in the second and last photo look really good!
Love ‘em! I live way out west where there are still real cowboys and saw wide cuffs on their jeans about a year ago. Rolled up for fashion? Nope. It’s so they don’t get hung in a saddle stirrup or worn out underneath a boot heel.
I really love the second and last look. I am so glad to see denim on every fashion blog I visit today. I have always been a denim girl and love to see it pulled off with such style!
+1 for bootcuts coming back in style, I can finally put those back in my usual rotation.
I love to cuff my jeans, especially in Spring and Summer. I think there’s a practical side to fashion, so they may look a bit strange in Winter, but if the weather permits, I think they look great. Besides, I think there’s something very sexy and feminine about seeing the ankles, and cuffing jeans allows for that. And shoes. One can really showcase one’s shoes with cuffed jeans!
To cuff or not to cuff–that is the question
whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
the looks and stares of outrageous fashion
or cop an attitude against a sea of styles
and by opposing end them.
A cuff is fine and can look good, but it looks awkward and unkept after one and a half inches. Looks 1,2 and 3 are not trying to set a trend or do anything stylistically interesting. They just bought a pair of pants that are meant to be tailored and was to lazy to drop them off, and this is what they had to do to wear them. Look one you can tell is trying to do something interesting but is just awkward.
All of the looks, except the first one are nice. Some are nicer then others…bvut al are good. the girl looking into the window is my favorite. But the upper right hand look is charming in its own gawky way, although i wouldn’t want to look like that myself. I love the coat on the bottom left.
Predictable comments once again. People still stuck in 2005 with their cliche taste towards the second outfit which is pretty much skinny jeans with a wider cuff. The first one is so much more chic and less self conscious and much harder pull off, which I think she delivers.
I like wide-cuffed jeans when they are worn by the right people in the right way with the right other pieces, and I find something interesting in all the four looks shown here.
The second and fourth ones are maybe more “mainstream” now therefore easier to assimilate for most people, but especially the first one is lovely.

Normally people do not tailor jeans. If they are long roll them up. They aren’t slacks.
