anyone who an pull off overalls under sheepskin has to be pretty damn cool. I love the hair over one eye, the headphones, the skeptical look. Wonderful.

Love everything about this! The sky is so bright and blue hurray! The leather/sheepskin/denim/ khaki combination is so well played too!

Is that a way of keeping the earbuds in place when not using them?

Yes, it is; I’m surprised you haven’t noticed this trend on the street among urban tweens. It’s almost exclusively sported by males. I guess it comes out of the “hood” since I see the ear-hook thing most often on blacks + Hispanics; but I can’t really account for its origin. Fits in perfectly with the swagging, sagging, hat-tilting, loose-limbed style of today’s youth, no? The young man pictured seems to be doing a Caribbean-inflected, slightly more East Village variant on this style. Personally, I don’t find it as unique as one might at first think. And splashdash doth not a style make.

But coming from a city where there are mostly Asians and not too many naturally curly heads, this seems to be loaded with unique creative possibilities! I’ve always been fascinated by curly headed people pulling pencils out of their heads. It may not be aesthetically fashionable but such great character and practicality!

Shearling, is the guardian of historical men in the realm of work and fashion. The worker’s jacket and the child’s muse. The use of shearling is one of little assistance and incredible flair. You, are presenting yourself on a pillar of fabrication and strength. Classic luxury, simple aesthetic and more importantly all in your possession. The color palette, is but a relationship between tones of rustic remembrance and uniformity. Another portrait but, provided the portrait of a fellow dandy. Cheers!
