Really an interesting topic Scott.
You must have such a well ordered portfolio to be able to collect them into this visual.
I really like the bottom right, great shoes…and nice scene.
I tried this look once and people kept on telling me that I’d forgotten to change my bowling shoes…ha ha…the joke wore a bit thin after a while. bottom right looks best imo.
Love two tone brogues, the lady in the top left pictures is fantastic, lovem all, but she’s just wow! Found some black and white vintage cole haan brogues a while ago and can’t wait for the snow to go!
thanks for this! i was just wondering what to wear today when I saw the image of the gorgeous lady on the bottom left – we have the same vintage varuna wool liberty skirt and it’s time i dug it out! love the way she kept her base layer on top simple and then paired it with the red socks, i might try it out! the rest of her outfit is too adventurous for me :)
Absolutely an outstanding group of pictures. I love two-tone shoes anyway, but these ladies are beyond stylish, esp. the top and bottom left hand. Very different, but they are taking fashion beyond style to a form of artistic expression.
I love the polish of the first look…but think that I prefer it when two-tone shoes are done in a modern way (like the bottom right).
Something about combining them with vintage pieces can veer too far into costume territory for my liking – especially when the rest of the styling falls into the same era.
Personaly, i prefer the bottom right one’s. They look really cool and acceptable. And yes, the bottom left one’s are propaply the worst, followed by the upper right pair of two toned shoe’s.

Yes! I am always thinking of two-toned shoes. I’m never not thinking about them.
This is perfection. Why are most shoes so boringly monochromatic?

While all are striking – and the first and last are the best of the group – I can’t but wonder if a handbag shaped like a golf bag will appear soon.
