I love the plaid trousers, and sweater/shirt/tie look like they compliment it perfectly. The overcoat doesnt do anything for the outfit, like it was an afterthought to just throw it on, considering how well coordinated the rest of him looks.
I thought of your blog yesterday. I live in Central PA, so I don’t see a lot like this, needless to say. Anyway, I was going into an office in downtown Harrisburg, and this kid came out with a perfect, short-cropped army jacket. Four weeks ago, I probably would not have given him a second look. Now? If I had a camera, I would have shot him in your honor. Again, thanks for taking me out of the everyday…
Striking in an unusual way-very slick and masculine. Colors that are odd and plaid pants that shouldn’t work, but they do. Yet another variation of New York style!
This is one of the few looks you’ve posted in which I see too much going on—the trench, the sunglasses, the bag, the pants—all good pieces on their own, but together, they’re too much for this guy.
I feel as though if this were on any other person, it’d be difficult to picture it being pulled off correctly.
The sunglasses are chic, the pants are AMAZING, with the shiny leather shoe gives it the OK to wear in the office, and the tie/shirt/sweater is just classic.
One poster above said that the overcoat looked thrown on, which it might have been, but I’m thinking because this horrible weather lately, it was for practical purposes

Style is fine, but: Seems to be cloudy in NYC … so, what are the glasses for? ;-)

I quite like this. I wonder if there’s a bit of irony in there with the subtle mix of preppy/punky?

Am I the only one who thinks that his pants look like pajamas? Contrary to all of the posters above me, I think those pants are a bit too much.

He looks like a ska kid from ten years ago who grew up and got an MBA, yet refused to get rid of the last vestige of his rude boy youth…
