Great photograph, the shoes*. Might you have a suggestions where a girl can get their hands on a smart pair of double strap monks? Looking forward to the next post.
Though not “classic” in the traditional sense, this is a clean look that is both gorgeous and inspiring. And the shoes, lord, the shoes. http://lordashbury.com
Is this the “71″ grey sweatshirt girl from a couple of days ago? She is lovely. Not 100% crazy about the Hershey Kiss beanie but I have the feeling it could grow on you. I do love her look overall: girly tomboy!
Monkstraps are having a huge comeback and I love this fact. I also love when fashion is allowed to be playful and fun, so “hiphiphurrey” for this hat :-)
She looks so cute in that hat! I love the way its shape mirrors her shoes. I also love the subtle colour combinations, right down to the blue bag resting behind her. Good morning to you too Scott.
where does one find an authentic–not girlified–pair of women’s monkstraps. I have tried Grenson, Church’s but alas, nothing. I have to wear flat shoes–and have too many oxfords, brogues and loafers…
Ive been looking everywhere too! If your still looking for some there’s a gorgeous pair on Russell and Bromley. Think they are around £165 but totally worth it! It’s a UK website so not sure it’ll work if your in the US but worth a try
Great shoes! I’m looking for ages for double monkstraps. Can’t find any for girls, even tried the man’s, but they are usually too big. Any suggestions?
Betina
I bought my monk straps a few weeks ago at Dune: real leather, not too girly, very comfy, and at the amazing price of 37 GBP on sale! They’ re sold out now, unfortunately.
Love everything about her, hat included. Very nice. Especially the long, close fitting coat. Pretty. The hat makes her blond hair and pretty pale skin stand out all the better.

Can I jump on your bandwagon, guys?
Lizzie (below) referred to it as a “Hershey Kiss” cap which cracked me up.
Otherwise, very sexy feminine take on a “men’s wear” look.

burberry prorsum made some a couple seasons ago. if your feet are big enough for mens shoes, then you can go the usual way of john lobb, etc.

I bought a pair in Florence on the first day of the sales (Jan. 5) for 80 euros. Mine are chestnut brown.
I bought a pair of Burburry lace ups in Toronto last summer for 400 bucks.
Take your pick.
